Biyadhoo — Local services in Malé Atoll

The resort is in desperate need of renovation, especially the common areas and the bathrooms. Although our room was spacious, the bathroom looked dated. There was also a smell and we kept the door closed when we were not using it. The furniture was old but we could more easily live with it. Our balcony was facing the ocean but the trees in front of it blocked the view. The restaurant looks also dated and gloomy - a change of furniture and lighting could make a huge difference. The food is ok but vegans may have trouble having a good meal here - some of our meals consisted of salad and pasta. A special mention about the desserts because they were tasty and not too sweet. We also enjoyed the salads more than the mains. Water was not included in our package although we were on full board - a big bottle costs 3 usd plus tax. Staff were incredibly friendly and ready to go the extra mile. We felt they were genuinely caring for us and doing everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Although they fumigate the island every day in the morning, we were bit a couple of times. The highlight was the diving center - great staff and excellent organisation, and the spa - the two ladies running it are professional and friendly. Me and my wife had our honeymoon from 20 of December to 3 of January. We liked the place and had a lot of fun, swimming was great the staff was nice,after we left we found out that all, 32 staff tested POSITIVE OF COVID19 on 8 of January. Me and my wife, we are in quarantine for 14 days in Maldive it cost me $2500. My wife tested positive and I'm negative. The resort manager reassured me that staff takes a covid test every week...

Siamo stati in questo resort dal 1 al 10 febbraio 2020 ottima settimana, isola accogliente semplice e informale, perfetta per rilassarsi e godere la natura, palme,barriera corallina strordinaria facilmente accessibile adatta a tutti, si raggiunge da Malè in 40 Min.camere si consiglia lato ovest (nr50 alla 97 top 66 alla 81) davanti a 300 m. di spiaggia bianca e alla barriera . Arredo semplice ma funzionale con Ar. Cond. Minibar, set x tè e caffè, asciugacapelli ,c'è un'ottima crema x corpo e sciampoo manca doccia schiuma, i teli mare li portano puliti tutte le sere,ci sono lettini si consiglia di portarsi un materassino, e scarpette x passeggiare nell'acqua, sono tutti gentili e disponibili, c'è la Spa, e la meraviglia di vedere tanti pesci colorati (è talmente bella la barriera che arrivano barche anche di altri atolli) e lo squalo, tartarughe, aquila di mare, murena.
