We booked 4 rooms (Overwater Sunrise Villa with Jacuzzi) for 13 people (4 kids, 7 adult, 2 seniors) during low season period (i.e. early June which is a rainy season). We stayed for 3 nights 4 days. There are pros and cons for visiting during rainy season... Pros - No people! We got all the pool to ourselves, no queue at the restaurants, and we got undivided staff attention, including lifeguards' who watched the kids with their hawk eyes 🤣. - Mild temperatures. It was couldy most of the day with temp between 29-33 C, allowing us to maximize outdoor time and the kids loved it. The hotel has a waterpark comprises several large pools. There were also many outdoor activities like kayaking, boat paddling, beach balls, snorkelling, etc. Cons - The random rain made it difficult to plan excursions. The rain can last bewteen 15 to 60 mins and were unpredictable. - The expensive excursion. The hotel excursions were fairly expensive. We paid full price for shark snorkelling so it was 128 usd/person. We were a bit dissapointed with the experience coz some of us were seasick (strong wind & bumpy ride). And there was sparse wildlife and bleached corals. I know this is not the hotel's fault but considering the high price they set, it made some of us felt dissapointed. Comments that apply all year round - Only 45 mins from airport with speed boat. Good for our parents as it was not too tiring. - The hotel has 3 main restaurants (Thai, Italian, international). Quality ingredients, tasty, good menu variety. But can feel repetitive if stay more than 3 days. - Our room type has a stair that goes into the ocean. Perpect for morning swim. - Beautiful spa space and good massage services. Just remember to add ++28% too all the price you see on the menu 😅. (+16% tax +10% service charge) - Unlimited food, drinks, snacks, and ice cream for the All Inclusive Stay. Well, this can also be a con coz the kids wouldn't stop consuming sugar. One of the kids had mashmallow and nutella on toast for breakfast for 3 days straight 😅. - All of the staff we encountered were very attentive and friendly. - Had to communicate with front desk through thier application which can be delayed. - Long distance (1km) between Overwater Villa and the hotel's main facilities and there was not enough buggy service so you had to wait. For example when it rained and all of the quests wanted to go back to their rooms at the same time. Having list out all the pros and cons, we are considering going back to visit Centara Maldives again but at a different branch location during March when it is not too crowded and the temp is also not too high (as suggested by one of their staff).

I just stayed for 8 nights during xmas and new year at the resort and have so much to share about the good and the bad things about the resort. First i will talk about the good things. 1. Since its a new resort, the room is still fresh, everything is in good condition still. 2. Ocean water color is nice- i’ve been to 5 other resorts in maldives and the ocean color at the sunrise side is really good 3.good priced comparing to other resorts at the moment i stayed. 4. I can see the staff tried their best to serve the customer, some to mention alex at breakfast, the sommelier is really nice too, and chef allessio cooks very well. Next the bad things ( i hope they can improve) 1. Too many flies at the resort, especially at the pool bar and at the restaurant. Everyday the staff would use one pan full of glue to catch hundreds of flies, even at restaurant, the buffet side they dont bother to even put candles , the flies stick on most the food. Even on the tables when we eat, too many flies joined our breakfast. When we complained, some staff said it was because the next door resort centara grand is being built thats why there are many rubbish there hence many flies. Some staff said its the flies season in maldives and when i told her that we have been to 5 other resort in maldives and not have this problem, she just said we are lucky. 2. The next door connected resort is being built therefore from the main pool our view will be people working, cranes and unfinished construction 3.i also saw one rat once in front of acqua restaurant 4.i stayed in beach room and also water villa, both. All the rooms my family stayed have bad toilet smell which affect the whole room smell.. 5.since its new resort, not much reef yet, so not much fish and below the water villa many construction trash underwater such as metals, gloves, saw, stairs, brooms. Which i thinknthey could have cleaned before opening. 6.they only have 3 restaurant and everyday almost the same food, so if u stay for long period, u will have to consider the food options. 7.i originally booked beach panoramic room and requested to upgrade to water villa, request took 2 days and has to pay 483 usd per night because they say its full, but on the day i moved they say occupancy is 40% only, and i checked on their web the rate difference in web is cheaper than what i paid, but i paid anyway. There are many more things that i thougtht that they could have improved especially their service, i hope it will get better with time since they just opened.

We recently spent 3 unforgettable nights at Centara Mirage Lagoon Maldives, and the experience was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in tranquility, warmth, and impeccable hospitality. Our overwater villa with a private pool was absolutely mesmerizing — waking up to those endless shades of blue and watching the sunset from our deck was something out of a dream. The villa was beautifully designed, blending comfort with breathtaking views in every direction. What truly made our stay exceptional was the incredible team at Centara. Every single staff member we encountered added a special touch to our holiday. A few names we must mention: • Thousand and Lai from Acqua Restaurant — always welcoming and attentive, with smiles that brightened our mornings. • Alex and Shazan at Sailhouse Restaurant — made every meal feel like a celebration. • Cha from Suan Bua Thai Restaurant — delivered authentic flavors with warm service. • Shail at Reception — ensured our check-in and stay were smooth and personalized. • Pradeep, Putra, Nazmul, and John from the Dolphin Bar — not only made incredible drinks but also engaged us with genuine care. A special thanks to Nazmul, who went above and beyond to make sure we were always comfortable. • Azu at the Kids’ Play Area — was amazing with the little ones and brought joy to their day. • Zoora from Kyrgyzstan — was a pleasure to chat with; we had such a lovely conversation about her country. • Victor, the Cluster Manager, was simply delightful — approachable, efficient, and ever gracious. Every detail of our stay — from the stunning surroundings and luxurious accommodations to the world-class dining and heartfelt service — made this trip so memorable. Whether it was lounging by the pool, dining under the stars, or simply walking along the beach, there was a sense of peace and joy everywhere. Centara Mirage is a true gem in the Maldives, and we’re already dreaming about our next visit. Thank you to the entire team for making our holiday so special — you were all perfect.

We had a pleasant stay as a family of eight at Centara Mirage Lagoon. From the moment we arrived and departed we were warmly welcomed by Khun Nutcha, whose kind and genuine smile made us feel immediately at home as she introduced us to the resort. Khun Geniga was also very hospitable and took the time to show us the shark area and resort tour which very delightful . Khun Rejina stood out with her friendly attitude and excellent service mindset. We were also very pleased with the overall hospitality provided by the front desk, bell staff, buggy service staff, Housekeeping staff (They are very friendly and always greet us as we walked pass and they always make sure to keep our rooms clean after we left the villas) and lifeguards (They are very friendly and always looking after us while we in the water) all of whom contributed positively to our experience. Khun. Nutcha, Khun.Geniga and Khun Rejina, They are the 3 shining gems of Centara Mirage Lagoon. Thank you very very much.

However, we believe the Food & Beverage service could benefit from further improvement.

At Suan Bua, the head chef demonstrated exceptional attention to detail and personally greeted us at the table. The Thai dishes he prepared were authentic and reminded us of home a true highlight of our stay. One of the Thai male service staff at Suan Bua was also very kind, attentive, and helpful. Unfortunately, the service provided by the two Thai female staff did not meet the same standard which quit disappointing . The senior Thai lady service staff did not even have any interaction with us but she goes to every table accept our table during the dinner for 2 days at Suan Bua. Their interaction was very minimal, and they did not offer the same level of warmth or even very basic courtesy such as saying thank you or a smile and have a hard tone of voice which was disappointing and inconsistent with the otherwise excellent service throughout the resort.

Regarding the layout, while the resort is marketed as walking-friendly, the hot daytime weather made walking difficult. We had booked four pool villas, but due to full occupancy, our group was separated two on the sunset side and two on the sunrise side ,which made coordination more challenging as we travel with our 70 years old Grandma. We relied heavily on the buggy service, but at times, we experienced long wait times exceeding 30 minutes, not including the additional delays while waiting for responses through the resort’s app.

We understand the high occupancy may have strained the buggy availability, but we would like to recommend that the resort consider providing bicycles for guests, especially those staying in overwater villas, as they are located quite far from the main facilities. This would significantly improve accessibility and guest satisfaction.

In summary, we truly appreciated the warmth and professionalism of many team members, especially the front office and culinary team, and we hope to see some improvements in F&B service and transportation logistics in the future. Thank...

A very positive experience during our stay here. When we arrived at the resort's jetty, we were welcomed by a line up of the resort staffs greeting us. We were then being assisted by Zuura for our checking in process and then was taken around the island for familiarisation of the restaurants and activities area. The room located at the sunset west villa amazes us both with its sunset location and it's privacy. The welcoming decor on the bed was beautiful and it can be said that much effort was put into it to have it done nicely.

Even so that weren't many guests available during this Monsoon period, the staffs there were really welcoming, friendly and helpful when you're enquiring about something.

There are a total of 3 different restaurants for you to dine in ;International, Italian and Thai restaurant.

The Sailhouse (International) offers a wide range of cuisines and the portions are really satisfying. We had a very good interaction with the staffs there such as Victor and Alex. Every now and then, they will checked up on you to see whether there's any lacking etc.

Acqua (Italian) both of us love the beef carpaccio, the ribeye and their pastas. Staffs like Shazin, Rygin and Laisha were very welcoming and helpful when came to choosing our dinner menu. Since the wife loved their Italian food a lot, we came 2x to eat over there during our stay.

Suan Bua (Thai) The most authentic Thai food that is prep by Thai Chefs. Their glass noodle, tom yum goong, basil beef and pad Thai were superb. It really feels as if you are literally eating in Thailand and at an authentic Thai restaurant. I didn't not get the names of those that serve us but their service and recommendations were really good.

Other activities we did during our stay were snorkeling, kayaking and water boat paddling (you can rent it for free there) just have to fill up a 1 time indemnity form. Manny ( who's from Brazil) assisted us with the process was very welcoming and knowledgeable. Our simple conversation of wanting to rent the snorkeling equipments and kayaks ended us diverting to other topics. It was a really good conversation about how we are able to discuss and exchange knowledge where we are from.

Cleanliness of room were good. Even so there are small fruit flies. But those are commons when you're spending time at resorts. The good thing about here is they carried out fogging which are eco friendly. Appreciate the housekeeping team efforts to ensure that the rooms are always clean.

Would recommend people to come and visit this resorts. Definitely kids friendly. Not forgetting the spa. Authentic Thai massage. I can never get...
