We can't say enough amazing things about our experience at Cinnamon Dhonveli Resort — from the incredible food, sun-soaked beaches, crystal-clear waters, and stunning water bungalow to, most importantly, the warm and exceptional people who made our stay truly unforgettable.

After checking in at the Cinnamon Dhonveli booth, we were smoothly guided to our 30-minute speedboat transfer to the resort. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a genuine smile by Nasa at reception, whose kindness and attentiveness went above and beyond. She made every effort to ensure our comfort after we disclosed my chemical and food allergies, and her support made a world of difference.

Every detail of our stay was thoughtfully cared for. Shafee, our wonderful waiter, recognized us immediately when we entered the dining area. Without even needing to ask, he had our table ready and drinks waiting for us by the time we returned with our food — a truly personal touch that made us feel valued and seen.

As you stroll through the resort grounds, don’t be surprised to spot reef sharks and stingrays gliding gracefully near the beach, walkways, and bungalows — a surreal and beautiful sight.

And when you're at the pools, you'll be looked after by Sattar, who takes incredible pride in ensuring every guest feels welcome and at ease. His genuine care and attention to detail made relaxing by the pool an experience in itself.

Excellent food varied daily. Beautiful scenery. Beach villas may need a little updating but being on the doorstep of such a beautiful view with powder white sand and the alternating blue and turquoise shades of warm lagoon makes that easily worth overlooking. The Chef at the restaurant and staff were very accomodating and friendly. Your table is pre reserved in a fixed location if you prefer and this allocation makes it convenient to locate "your" table and gives you the comfort and piece or mind knowing that even when you may be a little late for your meal your table is ready and waiting for you and you never have to wait to be seated.. ever. Take the all inclusive package and you wont regret the excellent food, snacks in between meals and drinks you will need to keep hydrated in the heat and humidity, in between the snorkelling and swimming in the warm and clear waters. Transfer to the island takes 20-25 mins from Male via speedboat though you may have to wait a little for the other passengers flights to land which in our case was 20mins or so. Access to water sports activities, diving instruction and tours, island hopping are all available. Spa facilities and water sports are all additional charge. This is an outstanding resort and hotel set beautiful part of the Maldives. My family stayed here in the amazing and spacious overwater suites , to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and also my youngest daughters 21st birthday. From arrival to departure we felt so well catered for in terms of extremely friendly staff from the restaurant to check in and also right through our stay to check out. A very special thank you to Sattar who looked after our pool side experience and was always available to meet us each day and entertain us with his flower arrangements and garlands, and his friendliness and genuine interest in us made us all smile and laugh throughout our stay. Faruk and Thuruka at the poolside bar day and night also very much made our stay so memorable again with their personalities and happy smiling faces all day. Their genuine interest in making sure we had what we needed from cocktails to water to cappuccino or wine, they made sure we always had what we needed. These 3 made our stay so memorable and along with all of the other amazing staff really made us feel special and we certainly want to return here very soon. We really do miss these 3 characters and the Cinnamon Dhonveli...
