We arrived Thursday morning at Male airport. At the exit we were waited by the Velassaru representative who took us to the speed boat for a trip of about 25 minutes to Kaafu Atoll where the Velassaru resort is located. Before we got into the boat we got the life jacket on, also received a bottle of water. After push back we steam to Velassaru. The boat was an open one so we have the opportunity to make good pictures. When we arrived we were greeted by the Velassaru staff. The reception is an open space, practically it is a continuation of the beach because the floor is not parquet or tiles, it is sand like on the beach. The check in was very easy. We just give the passport and they took care of everything is necessary to check in. While we waited for the accommodation formalities, we received a glass of iced juice. During this time we enjoyed the company of the Resort Manager Marge, who told us to protect ourselves from the Sun and take care to hydrate. After all the formalities were done, Fahud led us to the villa. On the way to the accommodation, Fahud explained to us what activities we could do and everything we needed to know to have a very pleasant vacation. After a few minutes of walking along a sandy path through the island vegetation behind some trees a white villa with a brown door and brown windows and a thatched roof is revealed, with a terrace with a couch on which cushions and beach towels were placed. The villa we stayed in was very nice. The room was generous and the bathroom half covered and half uncovered. In the covered part there is a toilet, shower and sinks and in the uncovered part a rain shower. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The air conditioning works very well and even at night when it works it is very quiet and does not disturb your sleep. The room is full of cushions and there is also a couch that you can rest on when the sun is very strong and you can't go to the beach. Toiletrees has l'Occitane productes. For the shower you have revitalizing shower gel, repairing conditioner and shampoo repairing and if you have damage your skin on the sun you have relaxing body lotion. Every day Safraz take good care of our villa, and made sure we had everything we needed, besides these he made us every day a figure out of towels. Thank you. At Vela restaurant for breakfast, we was greeted by Shaary who led us to the table. Along with Sheena, Zaidhee, Ahmed, Aslam, Asaad, Salaam, Aida, Irufan, Yoonis took care of us to make us feel as good as possible. We have tried the omelette made by Jhukku from omlete station. From the juice and fruit section Amila Don and Wahyuni prepared the best orange juice I have ever tried. Also pineapple, watermelon and papaya should not be missing from breakfast. Subeesh, Sifon Bir from pancakes, wafer and creep station make delicious products. There is topping maple syrup, berry jam, chocolate. Every day there is a curry station from where we can chose from 3 or 4 types, or a south indian upma, hard boild eggs or a oven baked tomatoes. The pastry station was also full of tasty pastry different every day made by Iresh pastry chef.

At the Turquoize restaurant, Maain and Faizan were very kind. Regional Flavours section from Turquoise menu is a must if you want to taste the maldives flavours. Also the catch of the day is a maldivian flavour dish from Meat and fish section of the menu. From the 12:30 the pizza is also very tasty. Diner at Vela restaurant is also something to try. The dinner buffet is also full of good salad, curry, cookies and ice cream. The beach is very close to the villa and there are sunbeds and sun umbrella. The beach is spacious. Near the reception is a infinity pool. In the room there is a list of all day activities form which you can choose the activities which is suitable for you. On the island there is a sand path between the lush vegetation which is very good for walking in times when it is very hot.

It was a good holiday and hope to see Velassaru next year. Thank you Marge and Velassaru team for make us...

Visiting Maldives had been in my and my twin sister's bucket list for the longest time. We explored so many resorts online for our first Maldives trip and ultimately booked at Velassaru upon the recommendation of a friend, and it was just the perfect place to celebrate our milestone birthday. Our surreal experience greatly exceeded our expectations, and it was an absolute dream come true!

From the time I booked via their website six months prior to our stay until our departure, everyone was very warm, courteous and professional in every way, and the personal touches made us feel really special. Email communications were prompt and accommodating, and we were thoughtfully offered an extra bed upon learning that we were twins sharing the room.

The warm smile of Samoon who greeted and helped us at the airport was as bright as the weather when we arrived. The welcome drinks and cold towels were a refreshing treat. We were given the first water villa closest to the main reception area and restaurants, which was a very welcome surprise. They are mindful about guests’ flight schedules and long travels, and the early check in upon arrival and complimentary late check out were really considerate gestures for tired travelers like us.

Food was heavenly, from the in-villa dining menu to the diverse spread at the buffets, and the attentive service by Anim, Riya, Zaidhee, and others at Vela Restaurant made the dining experience even better. Chef Arnold Jimenez pulled out all the stops in welcoming us and making us feel at home, preparing us a sushi plate and bringing a birthday cake dessert (and singing happy birthday with others) at the restaurant. We had a great time chatting with him and Chef Christopher, as well as with Ann at Living/Gallery. The spa experience was a feast for the senses; Pem and Mitri pampered us so expertly and luxuriously. The lovely birthday bed decorations by Azhaar and the sparkling wine and greeting from GM Denys Hordiienko were delightful surprises, as were the many greetings we received from different staff throughout the day. The complimentary photography session was a nice offering, and Shai was a very talented photographer. We learned that we were his first twin subjects yet he was a natural in coming up with posing ideas and was a delight to shoot photos with. I had the best solo beach yoga session with Arun under the most breathtaking sunset. We appreciated that they provided complimentary water bottles be it in the room, boat rides, morning cruise, spa or yoga session. Every staff member (those in the boats included) was highly attentive and helpful, and everyone we met along our walks around the island was just so friendly. The way management values and takes care of their staff is very evident in the happy and warm service of everyone at Velassaru.

The room features were well thought-out and gave us a really indulgent stay in our water villa, from the L'Occitane bath products, ironing facilities, hair dryer, magnifying mirror, complimentary drinking water, Nespresso machine and pods, to the home theatre system with bluetooth speakers that I was also able to use with my MP3 player for my favorite resort lounge playlist that added to the heavenly ambiance.

The turquoise waters and vast clean sand were a sight to behold, and the water temperature was perfect for swimming. We had a truly relaxing time soaking in the infinity pool with the ocean as our view. The lush and well-maintained gardens gave a fresh, tropical island atmosphere, and the bean bags, canopy daybeds and sun loungers offered relaxation at every turn. Everywhere, the facilities up to the restrooms were beautifully designed, well-maintained and immaculately clean.

Our experience overall in Velassaru Maldives was impeccable and unsurpassable; we have only good words for every aspect of our stay in the resort, and our beautiful memories will last a lifetime. They mean business when they say that they provide their guests with an unparalleled experience!

Thank you, Velassaru Maldives! Our hearts...

Spectacular Island - Really a Heaven on Earth.

I went with my wife for a break and it was our first time in Maldives. My choice fell on Velassaru Maldives after a long search for an Island that can be budget friendly and has high reviews. Furthermore, after reading about Velassaru's Water Suite, seeing few pictures, and asking direct questions to the resort regarding the level of privacy of the suite, i decided to go for it.

To be honest, I was a little but anxious and afraid to be diassapointed especially that we went in the wet season of the Maldives (June). However, our experience exceeded my expectations and left us with memories that will be with us forever.

First of all, the moment we arrived, we went through the immigration check point which was quick, and then we were welcomed by one of Velassarus friendly staff, who guided us to the private speedboat which was included in our Water Suite package. The speedboat was ready and waiting for us and we arrived to the Island in around 20 minutes.

Upon our arrival, the weather was sunny and beautiful and the water around the island was amazingly turquoise, the same colors we saw on the pictures, which boosted our first impression. We were welcomed by a number of Velassaru's staff, who were waiting for us. It was a really nice and friendly welcoming. They offered us a welcoming drink (fresh juice made of pineapple, lemon grass, and other fruit combination)

Then, our butler "Saiid" guided us to a golf car, and drove us directly to our Water Suite. He also gave us a quick orientation on the suite, and island including all the required information regarding the restaurants and other facilities.

The water suite was mesmerizing. Very spacious, nicely designed, and equipped with everything you need. The bathroom is huge, and has a big bath tub in the middle. The bedroom is very nice and relaxing, and the living room is very unique, especially with the wonderful glass floor that shows the beautiful turquoise sea water beneath. The best part of the suite is the outdoor sundeck and the huge private pool and different seating arrangements. AMAZING!

The island itslef is wonderful in every bit of it. The restaurants, the food, the Spa, the people, the beach, the views. Everything. There is nothing negative we can say. In our 3 nights stay, we only saw it raining once, which occured on our firat night and lasted the whole night. In the rest of the 3 days, the weather was hot and sunny.

Regarding the restaurants, in our 3 nights stay, we had breakfast in Tourquoise Restaurant, an international open buffet which was really nice. The food is very delicious, and the staff were really nice and happy to give you the best service. The executive chef came to our table and welcomed us, and offered us to ask about whatever we want even if it is not on the menu or the buffet.

We also tried Teppanyaki Restaurant for dinner. The restaurant is very nice, situated above the water with a very romatic setting. The food was amazing especially the Sushi.

In summary, I would like to highly recommend choosing Velassaru Maldives. You will never regret it.

A special thanks to the whole Velassaru team and management, especilly our butler "Saiid". He is a great asset to the Island, a very nice and...

They offered us a welcoming drink (fresh juice made of pineapple, lemon grass, and other fruit combination) Then, our butler "Saiid" guided us to a golf car, and drove us directly to our Water Suite. He is a great asset to the Island, a very nice and professional gentleman.
