We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during the first week of half term (some schools have 2 weeks uk now).|2 adults one 11 year old boy.||First impressions beautiful hotel, really friendly staff, we were given a room upgrade on arrival. We arrived around 11;30 and we were told our room was just being finished up which was great considering how early we were. We waited in their coffee shop which had the best coffee and cakes. Highly recommend the iced latte with hazelnut.|We were then taken to our room, suitcases taken up for us, a quick room tour shown where everything was.|The room was very spacious we had the family land view with the second room so that our son had his own space (this was the upgrade). Fridge in both rooms, air con in both rooms. Tv in both rooms! And highlight for my 11 year old… YouTube on the TV!|The room was clean… end of season could see it needed some attention to detail and a little bit of tlc here and there both nothing major. It was cleaned each day with new towels and beds made floors mopped.||The hotel itself is beautiful.|Having our son with us we wasn’t able to us the adult only areas but we did pop up to those floors and have a sneak peak and they looked stunning.|The family pool wasn’t deep the indoor pool was deeper and warmer , but it is October so wasn’t expecting the outside pool to be warm. Our son enjoyed the water slides . He made friends with some other children who were also there with out siblings which was nice.|Plenty of sunbeds even when it got busier towards the end of the week.||We had breakfast included in our stay, there was so much choice, my favourite was the pear crumble and custard … for breakfast!!! Yes I have a sweet tooth it was delicious.|You weren’t rushed and food didn’t run out.||We ate at the hotel twice once at the buffet restaurant which again had lots of choice and beer wine and fizzy drinks were included in the price and we ate at their restaurant that over looks the sea that was nice too. ||It’s very rare for me to say I would come again to a hotel, mainly because I like to stay at new places but I would definitely some back here but as a couple so that we could enjoy the adults only areas.||I’d say this hotel is better for families with younger children rather than 10-13 year olds .|There is another pool that 13 plus can use which is nice for those younger teens.|If my son hadn’t made friends and we’d been at the hotel everyday I’d imagine he’d be fed up of the couple of slides and pool as we are used to going to ones with big water parks. But we used the hotel as a base to go off and explore and it was perfect. I did see advertised an entertainment program but I’m guessing This is for...
Read moreWe had booked 1 week all inclusive at this hotel (tomorrow is our last day). Before our departure, we knew that this hotel was newly renovated/opened and so there was a chance that it would not be completely finished. We wanted to take this "risk" anyway because it looked beautiful on the pictures.
From the first moment we arrived until now we have not regretted our choice for one moment. The hotel has been beautifully renovated. It all looks very luxurious (even the details were looked at). As mentioned in previous reviews things are still being finished here and there but we knew that so for us this was certainly not a problem.
The pools are beautiful. Downstairs there is a family pool with 2 slides. Perfect for families with children. On the top floor you have 2 pools and jaccuzi's overlooking the sea. Nicer than what we expected.
Both breakfast and afternoon/evening buffet are super delicious. There is plenty of choice so there is something for everyone. Afternoon/evening also some things are changed all the time so you keep having enough variety. The quality/taste of the food is higher than at other hotels. The 2 restaurants (Luzzu and Cheeky Monkey) where we are allowed to eat as guests of the hotel are a nice change. There is also a possibility to eat once at restaurant Minoa (the hotel's restaurant on the top floor). This was open since early this week and we took advantage of it. The menu is limited but of high quality. The restaurant is beautiful and the open kitchen is definitely a plus.
Our room was good. We unfortunately did not get a renovated room but the room had everything it should have.
Besides the renovated aspect and the location, the biggest quality of this hotel is the staff. It is nice as a guest to meet all these friendly people. We can see that these people enjoy doing their jobs. They are super friendly! The room was always cleaned very clean, the people at the bars/towels are extremely friendly as are the people at the front desk. It is not a forced friendliness. You notice that the people who work here are proud of what they do and enjoy making the guests feel comfortable.
One small flaw in the hotel is the elevators. We often had to wait a long time before we could take an elevator. Taking into account that the hotel is not completely full yet, this can cause some problems.
Congratulations on your renovated hotel! Keep up the good work. We would love to come back when the hotel is...

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Odycy and overall, my experience was satisfactory. The hotel's recent renovations were clearly visible throughout, resulting in a clean and modern ambiance. The personnel at Hotel Odycy were extremely friendly and accommodating, providing excellent service that added to the overall positive experience.
However, I must express my disappointment with the quality of the food and drinks served during my stay. While the hotel's restaurant presented an appealing menu with a variety of options, the execution left much to be desired. It became evident that the beverages were diluted, as the drinks lacked the intended flavor and tasted predominantly like water. Similarly, some of the dishes seemed to be prepared with diluted ingredients, as they lacked the desired taste and were overshadowed by other flavors. This aspect of my stay was quite underwhelming and didn't meet my expectations.
It is my belief that food and beverage quality is a crucial element of any hotel experience, and I hope Hotel Odycy takes this feedback constructively. Enhancing the flavor and consistency of the drinks, as well as ensuring that the food is prepared with the intended ingredients and flavors, would significantly elevate the overall dining experience for guests.
Despite this shortcoming, I commend the hotel for its recent renovations, which have greatly improved the overall ambiance. The cleanliness of the rooms and public spaces was exceptional, and the newly renovated areas provided a comfortable and pleasant environment for guests.
I would recommend Hotel Odycy for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and modern renovations. However, prospective guests should be aware of the shortcomings in the food and beverage department. I hope the hotel management takes this feedback into consideration and works towards enhancing the culinary experience to match the otherwise positive aspects of the hotel.
