I stayed here with my family me my husband and 2 children aged 13 & 9, for 2 weeks. To start of with the reception was never open not once was the anyone behind the desk, we arrived at 10.30pm and was handed our Key by a pub manager across the road from the hotel and was left to our own devices told the room number and just left to get on with our stay, the 3rd night of the stay there was a Fire beneath our apartment 5.00am we were woken by screaming and banging as a family staying above as realised there was a fire which had broken out in one of the maintenance chambers, which was caused by chlorine being left in the direct heat, to top this of the fire alarm system were non functional and did not go off after several being broken to sound the alarms. There was no manager present at any time not even to see if the families staying at the apartments were ok. After one man who lived there attempted to put the fire out the pub manager across the road said it was safe for us to go back in even tho no checks had been made by professionals we waited 1hour for the police fire and hazards to get the the apartment to confirm it was safe after a further 1hour of checking the apartments. So as you can imagine there was many sleepless nights there after. The apartment it's self was dirty out dated no where to dry washing and the beds were the most uncomfortable we have ever slept on the cleaners only come in twice the whole stay. The apartments were more like a hostel with drunks that just sat in the pub and by the pool the whole time we were there. We would never go back there even if we were paid too, defiantly not a place to stay for families stay as stated. The images on TripAdvisor are not correct either as the the apartments are further up then shown on one of the photos of the road leading to the apartments. It also does not state you have to pay €3 a day to hire a sun lounger. It states the apartment is a 2 star I would class this as no star the health and safety of this...
Read moreWe was here at the beginning of August for 2 weeks. The hotel was dated and could do with a bit of refurb. Rooms were very spacious, was surprised at the size of apartments. Was no air con but they gave us fans in each room for free. Some hotels charge you the earth for fans. Only once did I get to meet anyone from reception. Asked them if they could print off my boarding passes, the man was extremely rude and unhelpful but finally printed them for me. Only saw the maids once in the whole 2 weeks. ||When we first arrived we were greeted by Pete who showed us where to go to get our keys, then directed us to our rooms. He was always there for advice and where to go. He even went out of his way to find out about excursions we could go on. Was extremely helpful, and we was always welcomed with a good morning or good night. Joanne and Kevin running the bar were absolutely amazing. Treated us like family, helped us get to the next town and absolutely made our holiday. It was my daughters birthday and they threw her a party inviting the other children from the hotel. My daughter had the best birthday ever. ||Although the pool was small most days we was the only people in it. And yes there is a charge of 3 euros for a sunbed, but we always got a bed in the place we wanted them. That in itself was a shock. Set up, ready with a table and parasol if wanted. ||We tried eating at many places while we was on the island and always found Joannes cooking was by far our first and favourite choice. Wonderful food and excellent value.||I dont think we would have enjoyed our holiday as much if it was not for the exceptional hospitality of the pool bar staff, who went the extra mile to make us feel welcome during our...
Read moreHanded the keys to the apartment by a barman who had the shakes across the road from the hotel at |11pm. We made our way up the stairs in total darkness with our 4 kids aged between 3&14, found the room, and sat wondering when it was last cleaned!!! The fans in the room made such a racket that sleep was impossible, but it was so hot we couldn't turn them off. Aircon would have been nice!! The Pool was the size of a 10p piece. Beds constructed of chipboard, literally knocked up from a few sheets with a filthy mattress on top. Very uncomfortable. Daren't use any electrical equipment except 2 fans n the kettle, as it looked so unsafe. The room was cleaned twice during our stay, once by me when we arrived and again (not very well I might add) half way thru our weeks stay where we had a towel change. Getting to the town centre required the agility of a mountain goat so anyone with mobility issues or buggys should avoid. I'll get straight to the highlight of our holiday. The hotel being on fire!!!! A bucket of chlorine ignited (somehow) n set an air shaft on fire which resulted in us being evacuated by another guest shouting FIRE FIRE as the numerous fire alarms he smashed didn't work!!! To say we were afraid when we opened our hotel door and smelt the fumes would b an understatement. This matter has been reported to the travel agent n I hope something is done before a very bad accident occurs. Going to this hotel is literally taking your life into your own hands. ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| |||||||||11pm. We...
