Auberge Triskell Nouakchott — Hotel in Maghreb

I stayed at this hotel based on the reviews about Sébastien. It's definitely worth it just for the knowledge he has alone.he does set you up with an airport transfer if you need to. We did. It's a bit pricey, but it's guaranteed.

The location is great. Small stores nearby, a grocery store, and restaurants. Def recommend the chicken shwarma at nkc Istanbul. Head to the main road, it's easy to get a taxi. The city is walkable from this location as well.

We were going deep into the country, and Sebastian had the hookups on getting everywhere. He even booked and dropped us off at the bus station.

The service was awesome. He hires locals, and they are pretty awesome dudes. They all seem very happy to be there. You can eat and get coffee from here. The courtyard always seems to have shade and some nice breezes, so it's a blessing of a place to hang out and eat or enjoy a coffee.

The rooms are what they are. The ac works well. The showers are a bit crazy but it's mauritania. It's some of the best showers we had throughout the country, and it was still cold water in our room.

I would highly recommend staying here, especially if you are on a budget and even...

The attitude of the host is awful. We gave our clothes to the laundry and when got it back there wasn’t our jacket there. We didn’t notice it at once as there were lots of staff, but the basket with different clothes from other people so it is possible to take any clothes that you want. After 1 day and a half as we packed our luggage we couldn’t find the jacket. I wrote about it the host and he didn’t even apologize for it or offered to look for it or look at CCTV which are everywhere there. He just started to blame us for it and took all the responsibility to us. Extremely client-disoriented, rude and unfriendly person. The other staff doesn’t speak English and seems absolutely indifferent what is going on. As for accommodation, it is basic. The food is awful and overpriced. We didn’t order it as the price is twice more than in cafes nearby but asked other guests if it is worth and they answered that it is better to eat somewhere else and the egg for breakfast was overcooked. I was delighted with my stay at Le Triskell. I arrived (solo) late at night and they picked me up and prepared a delicious salad despite the late hour. ||||My room (a private room inside the house) was comfortable and big. I had a fan and a functioning bathroom with hot water.||||The garden yard at Le Triskell is a delight. So beautiful and a wonderful place to hang out with Sebastian or other travellers. Great food was served here as well.||||The location was good. A nice, quiet neighbourhood, bus also walkable to the city centre (it's not a short walk, but not that long either). Lots of restaurants in close proximity.||||Sebastian also helped t arranged onward transpiration and was a great source of information. Very helpful, for me anyway, is that he speaks English as well as a French.||||I would 100% recommend this place. It was a great way to start my trip...
