The house itself? A dream: comfy, stylish, steaming hot showers with water pressure that can Turn Up to 11, pool perfect for dive lessons, and patio bar to siesta and/or fiesta. Take in sunrise views into La Paz over the Sea of Cortez from their patio sanctuary overlooking centenarian Cordón cacti, serenaded by symphony of songbirds daily. You'll want to spend all your time with Kristi and Richard while you're there because they're so fun to be around, but there's also more secluded patios upstairs and a casita bonita tucked away on the other corner of their large property if you're looking for a more private getaway.||||The neighborhood is a quiet, safe gem, where neighbors are as charming and hilarious as Richard’s chill surfer-meets-wise cowboy poet persona. It's a short walk (OK, more like a pleasant 10-minute stroll) to the beach—unless you opt for an ATV cruise through desert trails. And the food? Kristi’s down-home, gourmet-meets-culinary-magic meals are reason alone to visit. She redefines Midwestern hospitality with every dish, seamlessly balancing comfort food with bold, experimental flavors that would make top chefs jealous. Trust me: You’ll be dreaming about her desserts long after you leave.||||Then there’s the diving—an aquatic feast for the soul. We earned our Advanced Water certification under Richard’s expert, patient guidance. His ability to connect with divers of all skill levels and backgrounds is unmatched (even if they couldn't find their way out of a paper bag with a compass and Google Maps ;) weaving humor, history, and marine ecology into the lessons. ||Captain Omar’s infectious laugh, next level customer service, and vast knowledge of Mexico life added a perfect touch. Together, they curated dives at world-class sites like the Fang Ming shipwreck, Balondra, Corralito, and Los Islotes. We got to see first hand that there is indeed not only one fish in the sea (there's like 3 gazillion at least.) Their prankster sea lion friends pirouetted over head to sneak playful bites at our gear as rambunctious rays flew up out of the water into the air ever so briefly, perhaps to remind themselves of how much cooler life can be under the sea. They even connected us with another guide for snorkeling alongside whale sharks, a breathtaking reminder of how small and lucky we are to be alive on this wacky Blue Planet.||||Oh, and don’t forget the house dogs—Mako, Dori, and Nemo—who could steal the show in any Pixar sequel. Cuddly, playful, and utterly charming, they’ll be your loyal dive buddies on land. My partner and I spent 8 days over the Christmas and New Year's holidays at Diver's Inn MX and we couldn't be happier with our experience.||||The home and grounds are beautiful and comfortable. They clearly put so much attention into every detail.||||Kristi is one of the most kind, genuine, and thoughtful people you will ever meet and a joy to be around. From the moment she picked us up at the airport, I felt comfortable and welcome. She's a great cook, baker, and mixologist who truly spoiled us rotten during our stay with delicious meals, snacks, treats and drinks. ||||Richard is a great dive master who is clearly knowledgeable, skilled, and enjoys what he does. His instruction and guidance really helped us take our dive skills and knowledge to the next level. He is a safe and attentive instructor and guide, who is also quick with a joke and a laugh. He was very patient and informative with my MANY questions. Hahaha!||||We also enjoyed our time with boat captain, Omar. Omar is a knowledgeable, skilled, warm, and fun person. He goes above and beyond for the team and customers to keep things running efficiently and is a generally nice, fun person to spend time with.||||As (Open Water Cert.) beginners, this was an exceptional experience to take our dicing to the next level. Coming from a land-locked state, we don't get much diving in, and when we do it's only 1 to 2 dives per year. Staying at Diver's Inn MX, we were able to dive six days which, along with instruction and guidance from Richard and Omar, really helped us level up and feel more comfortable on our dives. During our stay, we were able to earn our PEAK, navigation, and enriched air specialties and get our Advanced Open Water Certification. All of this is included in your stay--such a great deal!!||||Honorable mention goes to the resort dogs: Mako, Nemo, and Dorey. I love dogs, so I am a little biased here, but being able to love on some super cute and lovable doggos during our stay was an unexpected and welcome element for me. Seeing Mako at the bottom of the stairs to greet me every morning was one of my favorite things.||||Overall, we had a wonderful stay with Kristi, Richard, and Omar at Diver's Inn MX. From personalized service, to steak, lobster, and champagne Christmas dinner, to 1-on-1 dives and certifications--I simply could not recommend Diver's...
