Bandido’ s Grill 1 OFF — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

This was our first experience at the new Bandito's location, unfortunately, it will be our last. We truly miss the old Bandito's and while the atmosphere is great at the new location, there are too many failed aspects of the operation to warrant visiting again, especially since we now only come to La Paz to visit family. We went on a Monday evening and ordered around 8:15pm. Initially we considered ordering one burger para compartir because we remembered the size of the old burgers. We also thought it would be quick considering there were only four other tables occupied in the entire restaurant. Well, thankfully we ordered two and we were VERY wrong and our VERY small "m..m..mmm" and "hula" burgers arrived 40 minutes later. No es la primera vez que vengo a BANDIDOS a cenar; llevo haciéndolo al menos 10 años…siempre vi al dueño sentado afuera recibiendo a sus comenaales. El dia de hoy, volví nuevamente, el recibimiento fue de lo mejor, me hicieron sentir bienvenido; me invitaron a tomarme un par de fotos en la parrilla que es e frente de una pickup antiguo…me llevaron a mis silla y me atendieron muy bien; ordene mi hamburguesa y aunque el estaba ligeramente salada la carne y el pan se rompe por el tamaño; el sabor estaba muy bien…los aros de cebolla ricos y la señorita que me atendió, se tomo la molestia de llevarme de todas las salsas para probar…el parrillero fue a mi mesa a platicsr conmigo y cerciorarse de que todo estuviera bien…fue cuando le comenté sobre min parecer del pan y la sal. Me hizo las recomendaciones mecesarias propias de cada lugar y quede satisfecho. Cuando llego el momento de pagar, se me dijo que antes de ordenar debia pasar a pagar, lo cual olvidé en su momento…al final me invitaron a pasar a la caja a pagar; deede el principio pregunté si era posible pagar con tarjeta, a lo que me respondieron que sí. Al momento de pagar, le pedí a la cajera que por favor agregara la propina; ya que todo el personal se habia volvadk amistosamente a atenderme y quería compensar con algo generoso…a lo que la cajera me dijo tajantemente que no era posible dejar propina en tarjeta y que si no traia efectivo que no me preocupara…por lo que me molesté, ya que los colaboradores de un restaurante no deben pasar por esto…yo mismo he administrado restaurantes propios y de amigos, y se perfectamente que hay una parte muy importante en el servicio que ganan los colaboradores mediante el pago de tarjeta…de hecho hay terminales que las sugieren en porcentajes. Solicité el nombre del dueño para extender mi molestia, pero al no encontrarse…me dijeron que estaba la gerente. Al salir de ahí, se despidió una muchacha, y le hice el comentario de lo que habia pasadk y pedi hablar con el dueño; a lo que ella misma se presento como tal…le dije lo que pasaba y ella misma aceptó que eran sus instrucciones, justificando una complicación en su sistema administrativo…a lo que le respondí que sus colaboradores no tenían por que cargar con esa deficiencia administrativa. Y mostró poco interés en resolverlo. Ni siquiera se molesto en levantarse de su mesa para hablar conmigo.

Es una pena, que sean los colaboradores quienes mantengan la imagen alta de un lugar, sin que eatos sean apoyados por los directivos.

Volveré sin duda, y llevare efectivo…el esfuerzo y ganas que ponen en el servicio lo vale y el sabor…la localidad ya era conocida por mi y tiene un 💯 espero el dueño vuelva a estar pendiente de cuando comenzó por...

American portions and American prices. But totally worth it (esp. considering the leftovers!) The atmosphere is wonderful. The lady’s bathroom is worth a visit. The menu is small with no prices or descriptions. Just 6 burgers. Each comes with fries. The board at the front door had prices and also included a kids burger (1/4 pound.) That kids burger is available for adults and is big enough for one person. Or you can split one of their giant burgers. My wife had the grilled chicken and I had a 1/2 pound burger. We both left with half our meals in a to go box. I saw folks drinking wine, beer and margaritas, but they weren’t in the menu. Also, onion rings are available but not in the menu. And they said they had a vegan burger option. They accept cash or transfers from your MX bank. And they brought around warm blankets as the sun...
