I paid extra to book two rooms with two beds through Agoda for three adults and three children. Upon arriving at the hotel the hotel staff tried to give me two single bed rooms. When I showed them my booking confirmation they gave me a single room with two beds and a room with a single and a roll away. They said that even though they had the rooms I could not have them because they were "reserved" even though I had reserved them over a week in advance and had an Agoda receipt. I explained that I paid more for the guarantee of these rooms but they did not care. The woman told me that they would comp my airport shuttle for the inconvenience. Parking at their hotel is 200 pesos a day even though their website says 150. Morning came and they refused to comp the airport shuttle saying they knew nothing about it. Upon returning from my trip I called for an airport shuttle and they refused. They even hung up on me twice when I called and asked which forced me to pay for an expensive cab ride in order to get back to my car.
All in all the staff was rude, they did not provide the rooms I had paid for, did not provide promised services, and charged more than the advertised rate for parking.
The cleanliness of the rooms is also substandard for Tijuana. I have stayed numerous Tijuana hotels and this is one...
Read moreThe good - room was spotlessly clean, air conditioning worked well, comfortable bed. I used the services of the driver to go downtown, and to border - very personable, friendly.||||The bad - others have commented about the breakfast. Breakfast was 'included'. Went to pleasant breakfast room and asked how it works i.e. sit down and be served. Sat down and waited....and waited. Finally brought out coffee, one slice of toast with jam, and a few pieces of thinly sliced fruit. Hmmm - is that it? It was not busy but staff were completely absent. ||||After 30 - 40 minutes rather surly I asked if I could get some service, perhaps a second cup of coffee and a menu. Waitress conferred with front desk, then after a few more minutes staff person from hotel asked if there was something I wanted. I said yes, a second cup of coffee and a menu, which he then relayed to staff. I waited a further 10 - 15 minutes for at least that second cup of coffee - and gave up. Fortunately a nearby convenience store sold yogurt drinks. There are very few services available near the hotel - so offering a breakfast that does not exist complicates a traveler's schedule. ||||Too bad an otherwise decent hotel experience had to be blighted by a miserable experience...
Read moreWe had to leave after 2 days here, and we only stayed the two days because we were very tired after a long trip. The room smelt weird, the AC didn't work, the TV didn't work, two of the plug sockets didn't work. The reception staff wouldn't change the room for us, we had gotten a room with two beds, we only wanted one. We had also paid 1000 dollars for a week here..... An absolute robbery. When we told them we would be leaving after two days, they didn't try to rectify the issues we had, they had said that we would only get less than half of the money back... So in the end we ended up paying over 500 USD for two nights in the worse hotel we could've asked for. The only good thing we experienced was the guy who helped us with our luggage, he was helpful, kind ad respectful. And also the young lady in the restaurant was attentive and kind too. The rest of the staff seemed suspicious, especially in the restaurant, for example, I had left a new bottle of juice in the restaurant after paying for our meal, I swiftly remembered and returned to get it, not even two minutes had passed and the woman had said that she had binned it. So much money was wasted here. I will most definitely not consider returning here and I deeply recommend others...
