We pulled in here in November 2014 after a long drive down Mexico 5 and Mexico 1. Pulling in at night to a somewhat sketchy town where we were the only white people we had our guard up. Met an amazing man working in this hotel.
We were the only guests, and had little Mexican or American money as we had not seen a bank or exchange place in days.
After spending all the pesos we had left on our room for the evening, this gentleman said he could make us a discount dinner out of some fish a tourist gave him that morning as it wouldn't fit into his cooler. He let us pay in Canadian.
Turned out to be possibly the best meal I and the members in my group had ever eaten. He sat down for dinner with us and told us about the town and its people and all about the local area. It was an experience to remember.
On our way back up the baja we decided to stay in this hotel again, this time coming with proper money to repay them from before. We found the hotel almost totally full from the baja100, but yet we still were treated as special guests and were sold an amazing dinner in the dining room alone with the football game on before the huge group staying in the hotel came for there dinner.
I can't wait to go back again and see the island and the bay, it's a regret we didn't get to spend more time there. I recommend this hidden gem to anyone willing to take the...

Staff is very attentive, the Restaurant food was good. Unfortunately this Hotel is misrepresented Online.
It is in bad shape, very little to non maintenance, the pictures you see on Google are from far some year ago when they opened this Hotel (I guess...) so don’t go by what you see in the pictures.
I suggest you don’t book online, become you will definitely WILL NOT GET WHAT YOU SEE. Just to give you an for example; our bathroom shower drain backs up, so after one person takes a shower you have to wait at least 15 full minute for the water to drain out.
Yet the most disappointment was there AC/ Electricity issue. Apparently there electricity went out during the day and comes back sometime around 6:00 pm. So if you plan to stay in the hotel room during the day... you will be sweating like a pig!!!.
Some locals told us that they do this to save on there electric bill... so in other words you will only have AC and/or fans working at night time.
Not the best experience at this hotel.
Ones again very disappointed!! Just returned from Bahia de Los Angeles this last week, just to add on last years experience, the WiFi is TERRIBLE!.
No longer giving them...
Read moreStopped on the way down on my motorcycle to La Paz, mostly because of Bahia de los Angeles which I had heard a lot about. Did not have a place to stay so I pick this one because there were a lot of motorcycles parked there. (They turned out to be a part of a packaged adventure trip)||||Room was Ok, it was clean, but a bit worse for the wear. The WiFi did not work except in the lobby, and since there is no mobile network here, it made for an "off the grid" experience. Water was hot, and the sheets were clean, so the basics were there. But for the price, which was not a lot, not great value. ||||The restaurant was not in service when I was there, so I had to walk down the street a bit to another hotel where it was. The pickings are slim as this is really an isolated place. No ATM or mobile internet. But beautiful!. If you want to get away from it all, this is the closest you can get and still have a shower. ||||Not terrible, but next time (and I will come back, it is beautiful) I will pick a...
