Ronda Amos 4/5 3 minutes ago on Google We stayed at the City Express by Marriott Cancun Aeropuerto for one night before our resort check-in and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is conveniently located just 1.8 km from Cancun International Airport and offers a complimentary airport shuttle, free Wi-Fi, fitness center, outdoor pool, and a 24-hour front desk. I appreciated their standard late checkout at 1:00 p.m., the complimentary continental breakfast, and the spacious dining area with plenty of seating. The lobby was clean, air-conditioned, and had comfortable seating, plus wheelchair-accessible entry and an elevator. Our king room was clean and well-appointed with a coffee maker, complimentary bottled water, microwave, mini-fridge, sofa bed, large desk with USB ports, and plenty of storage. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had complimentary shampoo and conditioner, plus an iron/ironing board, but limited counter space for toiletries. As is common in some areas, face towels weren’t provided, so it’s a good idea to pack your own and there was also not a safe. Food options nearby are limited, but there are a few restaurants and a convenience store within walking distance. I'll also point out that even though the remote had a Netflix button we could not get it to work. Overall, this was a clean, comfortable, and convenient stay before our...
Read moreOkay where should I start. This hotel stated that it has airport shuttle that would transport customer to and from the airport. A week before our trip, my wife sent out 3 emails to them regarding our flight and date/time of arrival. We did not get any answer, so we assume that they would have known, beside what can we do? We already pay into the hotel, and with work and kids, we don't have the time to reach out anymore. ||When we arrived at Cancun Airport, we did not see any sign or shuttle regarding "City Express". The great people of "Express Taxi" helped me call the hotel. Because thestaff at the City Express Cancum does not speak English, the taxi staff helped me talk to the front desk staff of the hotel. They stated that they cannot get to us until 30-40 mins at shuttle stop #30. We wait and they never came, so we end up getting our own taxi which cost us $50. F@$& this place.||At the time of this review, the hotel is in the middle of nowhere near any market place. We ate at the hotel with limited menu selection. We had spaghetti which was simple and plain, burger and fries (simply made), and salmon which was descent. The price of the food was over price, I have to say.||Then only good about the hotel is the room looks clean, but the sheet does smell a bit. I don't think that all of the sheet were washed but I cannot proof that.||Overall, I do not recommend this place. I hate writing bad review, but people needed to be...
Read moreWe stayed at the Cancun Bay Resort for 9 days (Nov 26-Dec 4).The room was clean and nicely cleaned every day. There was a small fridge that was replenished with water, soda, fruit juice everyday. The resort is small but a perfect size. |Dining options were great at Cancun Bay , especially for a small resort. By the larger pool (ocean side) there is a grill bar with burgers, hot dogs, nachos, fruit). at 11:30, the sushi bar opens by the quieter pool until 6 pm. Great sushi made on demand. The main buffet serves for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food was great to us, not like the food of a luxury resort but we find they make great efforts to keep it diverse. They have theme nights (Asian, bbq, carribean, italian, chef, etc.). There is a also a small restaurant - Italian - with more sophisticated dishes and presentation. Reservation is required bc it only has a few tables for a more intimate experience. There was a saxophone playing live.|There is a also a room service menu. We ordered once and took the food to the outdoor patio. Selections were different (like a club sandwich) so that was a nice change. They charge $5 for room service but was really worth it. |The employees are really what makes this resort the best. I would like to recognize specifically Emme, Garbriel, and the activities director Aaron. Never met our housekeeping attendant in person but was great. |A great vacation. We...
