Hotel Rio Vista — Hotel in El Fuerte

Este hotel es bonito en cuanto a su ubicación. Esta situado a la orilla del Rio El Fuerte, tiene balcones que dan hacia esa vista. Me tocó llegar en una noche de eclipse y fue maravillos experiencia. El hotel tiene un aire de hacienda vieja de estilo muy mexicano, las habitaciones están decoradas como tal. Esto pueden mejorarlo ya que pierde el buen gusto cuando te encuentras con un mural en tu cuarto de pajaritos del norte de México. El clima no funcionaba muy bien pero pude dormir. El baño olía mal, a drenaje. ||||A pesar de todo esto me gustó cuando dormí ahí por tan solo una noche. Llegué por la tarde del tren chepe y me cobraron 100 pesos desde la estación hasta el hotel. La gente del pueblo y del hotel fueron muy amables siempre.||||En primer lugar, no me gustan mucho las lagartijas. Bueno si me gustan pero de lejecitos. He tenido malas experiencias con ellas y me causan un poco de panico tenerlas cerca. Había un muchacho en recepcion que soportó mis quejas y fue al cuarto a tratar de ahuyentarlas. De todas formas no pude dormir por el eclipse y porque las escuchaba en la noche y pensaba que me iban a caer desde el techo. También me ayudo con el clima.||||Al día siguiente, el Sr. Felipe, encargado del hotel, me dijo que ellos hacían un tour hacía el rio en donde puedes admirar aves, petroglifos y te cuentan la historia el pueblo. El costo muy accesible, pero mi habitación vencia a mediodía. El me dijo que sin problema aunque la habitacion venciera podía dejar mis cosas en el cuarto y tomarlas cuando regresaramos, asi que nos fuimos.||||Nos subieron a mí y a otra chica que viajaba también sola a una especie de camioneta safari muy vieja y despues a una lancha. ESTUVO GENIAL!!! el Sr. Felipe es un buen conocedor de las aves y la historia de las comunidades Yaquis que estaban asentadas en el rio asi que tuvimos una deliciosa mañana en el arroyo con todas aquellas historias que contaba Felipe. ||||Todos se portaron muy amables, y volvería para escuchar nuevamente...

Chal, the owner of Hotel Rio Vista, is a very engaging guy, with a good command of English. Although the hotel is seemingly always a work in progress, it still is a very good value for the money, especially the rooms fronting the river. Breakfast was tasty, of good quality and plentiful. Chal is a great tour guide, as well as hotel manager, and with advance notice, he'll be at the train station, waiting for you, and take you back at departure time. Our group of friends reserved one night here since we couldn't get a reservation at another property in El Fuerte. Reading great reviews, we were looking forward to staying here . Both rooms had a strong musty odor, which we might have gotten used to, but the main issue was all the bugs that were crawling around on the bedspreads , walls, and floor. The beds were sagging and the lighting was very dim. The bird mural was lovely. Maybe it was an off time, but we left for another property .
