Hotel Campestre Inn — Hotel in Guanajuato

I was in Leon for a meeting. The hotel was booked by the host of the event. I would not have booked this hotel if I was making the reservation. It is an old hotel with four "towers". The lobby is quaint and clean. The free breakfast was good with made to order eggs. Although the room was very clean, the bed was so soft that it had a slump in the middle. It hurt my back. The room I had was a two bedroom "suite" with a dining area and a small kitchen. I did not use the kitchen except the small refrigerator. The room had attached a "cleaning room" similar to a laundry room. However, the smell coming from the cleaning room was strong and had the odor of stale, wet, towels or cleaning mops. The smell did not go away even after I opened the windows. The bathroom is very small. The toilet did not flush appropriately until two or three flushes. The shower was clean and big enough, but the hot water took 15 minutes to come out and the shower head barely had any pressure.||Overall, the hotel is OK if you are on a tight budget. The location is good and at a good price, the room was also good looking with good furniture, the only issue was the bed, it felt comfy, but i awoke with a serious backache. The attention in reception was the worst i have ever experienced, they ignore you, it was the longest check in even though i have my reservation, they had so many issues before giving me the room, the key was not opening the door, so I neeeed to go to reception thrice until it worked correctly. The breakfast was a buffet, but the variety was poor, and the food was plain and not very tasty, in addition to that, they were taking too long to clean tables so the wait for a table was longer as the restaurant is not that big. The outside of the hotel looks old and run down. On the inside, the rooms are not that bad. Full bathroom, 2 beds and TVs, the bad part is that the setup is a bit weird, because there is a wall between the 2 beds where the bathroom is.
