Hotel Hacienda Inn Aeropuerto — Hotel in Mérida

I stayed at this hotel at the beginning and end of my trip to Progreso, February 28th and March 30th, as I was arriving late and departing early. Both of my rooms were impeccably clean, the amenities were provided and well stocked with towels. The closets are huge and contain an iron and a safe large enough for a laptop. Upon my first check-in I was advised the hours of the restaurant and was politely asked that if I was planning on bringing in food or alcohol from outside to please consume it in my room and not in the restaurant. This is not an unreasonable request, one would not walk into a hotel restaurant at home and sit down with a pizza and six pack. I had a comfortable night's rest and a delicious breakfast at the restaurant in the morning. Check out was noon and my ride was not arriving until 2:30 so they kindly stored my luggage and I enjoyed sitting by the pool while I waited.||||My second visit was for my return flight, I checked in just after 3:00 and was offered a wake up call and arrangement of a taxi to take me to the airport. I spent my last day of vacation enjoying a late lunch/early supper and a couple of cold beverages poolside before heading to my room to turn in early. My wake up call came precisely @4:00 and my taxi was there @5:00 as requested.||||I would definitely return to this hotel and would recommend it, the staff are outstanding, the hotel is spotless and the restaurant food and service are fabulous. Masks were required at all times in public areas, unless you were eating or drinking, this policy was adhered to by all...

The staff is friendly and the hotel was clean. However, the bar/restaurant service is very poor. The drinks were poorly made more often than not. The margaritas are nasty. I tried a tequila sunrise, the first one was really good. The ones after were awful... They were literally granedine syrup and a splash of OJ and tequila. I let the waiter know and he said he'd let the supervisor know, but he lied and never notified any one. I mentioned it again and asked if they could remove those bad drinks from our bill but the bartender got mad, didn't apologize for the bad drinks and said all they could do was give us a free drink. There are signs all over the bar and restaurant stating that if you need to ask for your bill your meal is free...which is a lie. The waiters don't check on you and you need to keep approaching them to get anything...it's almost as if you're annoying them. Past midnight (and at all hours of the night) the staff makes a lo noise with a push cart. I would never stay here again and definitely do not recommend this place. Don't let their cheap...

They make everyone wait until 3 to check in. No matter if rooms are available before then. And they only have one person checking everyone in. And then he let a local cut in line in front of five people and she took 20 minutes arguing with him! He apologized to us even though he knew what he had done. But that doesn't sit well. No matter who it is. Get to our room. Hot as heck. Can't access the refrigerator to put our own water in it without putting down a deposit. The motem isn't plugged in and then the TV doesn't work. I just want to cool off and relax. I've been to Mexico multiple times so I'm fully aware how things can go. This hotel advertises as a hotel close to airport and convenient. Hmmm. Not sure we'll ever stay here again. On one positive note. The rest of the staff were very friendly...
