This is a small hotel run by a delightful Polish couple. and with just a few rooms, facing a pristine beach and ten steps from each rooms. Reaching the hotel requires driving for ~ 1/4 of a mile on a white road with some potholes. The hotel is one the white road - the only thing separating it from the private beach. Very few cars pass by, maybe one every half hour! Our room was very roomy, with even an extra bed and a kitchinette behind a wall, so conveniently out of sight. Air conditioner (needed!) was quiet and efficient, and supplemented by a ceiling fan. Water in the shower and sink was abundant and warm - something not so common in many Mexican small hotels - and coming from a private well. A generous supply of drinking water was provided in the room: we used half of it in 5 days.|The owners (Bacia and Slowomir) prepare a varied breakfast and dinner upon request. We found that having a generous breakfast and an early dinner was just a perfect way to spend the full day at the beach and the pool, skipping lunch altogether. True to their origin, the owners have a well supplied stock of Center European beers: from Polish to Czech to Lithuanian, in addition to Mexican beer. Also, in keeping with their tradition, they have Pirogi available at any time! The private beach has sun umbrellas, chaise lounges, tables and chairs. Beach towels are also provided in each room. Two hammocks are tied to the the roof of a small palapa and ten steps away there is a small hut with a fridge stocked with beers and sodas for purchase on a honor system. Sea water is comfortably warm with typically 3-5 feet waves at the breaking point, thus choppier than on the Atlantic side, but very fun to swim and soak. We walked for a quarter of a mile each way and met maybe 20 people. On one side there is a cluster of beach restaurants open for lunch and dinner.|One side benefit is that the owners are well traveled, highly educated and genuinely interested in sharing experiences with like-minded travelers. Slowomir is a very accomplished documentary movie director and we had many stimulating conversation about his and Bacia's travels and documentaries. After all, it does not happen every day to meet an Emmy award winner! The hotel has also a truly incredible two bedroom apartment with two full bathroom and indoor and outdoor jacuzzis. We did not book this room but we toured it and would like to use when we go back with a larger party. We are told that Easter and Winter, leading to Christmas are the local high-season with the beach and restaurant quite more crowded than...
