Montecito Beach Village — Hotel in Oaxaca

We stayed at Villa Esquina del Cielo in Montecito Beach Village, Huatulco, from August 17th to 22nd as a family, and overall it was a truly memorable experience.

The villa itself was the highlight: Villa Esquina del Cielo is spacious, beautifully designed with natural elements such as the palapa roof, and tastefully furnished for comfort and relaxation. The layout gave us both space and privacy, while the orientation toward the infinity pool created an unforgettable view. Another detail we truly appreciated was the comfort of the mattresses, which made our rest especially pleasant.

The property setting is also remarkable: the entire complex is well-maintained, with thoughtful decorative lighting that enhances the evenings. The golf cart service for transportation around the resort was very convenient, and even during low season we were able to enjoy breakfasts and lunches at the palapa restaurant by the private beach — those moments felt like a gift.

Special recognition goes to Manuel Toledo, who attended us at the palapa restaurant. He is an outstanding professional: always kind, attentive, and flexible with our requests, offering excellent suggestions and serving with a smile. His attitude elevated our dining experiences.

In terms of improvements (given the price level), we would suggest higher-quality towels with daily replacement, as the number available was limited and some felt worn. The toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, tissues) were also somewhat minimal. Additionally, having a wider range of pillow types would bring the sleeping experience closer to true luxury.

One of the most unforgettable parts of our stay was the night experience: listening to the sound of the ocean waves, the crickets and surrounding wildlife, while admiring the starry sky — it gave the whole family a magical sense of connection with nature.

As a whole, Montecito Beach Village — and especially Villa Esquina del Cielo — is a place we warmly recommend for families seeking a relaxing and enriching stay...
