Los Güeros — Restaurant in Oaxaca

We have been visiting this restaurant for a number of years & up until now have always enjoyed it & found it to be reasonably priced. However not so anymore. They have increased their price for a bottle of cerveza to 50 pesos. We don't even pay that much at the beach club. I buy my beer in the deposit store & pay $ 335 for 24 with works our to apprx 14 pesos per bottle. They get theirs delivered direct so probably pay even less. I understand that they have to make a profit. However, in my opinion this is price gouging. It's not the money but the principle. This might be okay for short term visitors who don't know better. El día 19 de julio 2019, aproximadamente a las 11:00 a.m., un grupo de personas llegamos al restaurante Los Güeros. En un primer momento, el coordinador del grupo habló con el encargado y este dijo que recibiría al grupo con la condición de que el consumo de alimentos y bebidas se hiciera ahí, sin llevar por cuenta propia, esta condición fue aceptada. Pero al pretender ingresar al restaurante el encargado cambió de opinión y dijo que por instrucciones de la dueña nos prohibía la entrada, pues han tenido malas experiencias con grupos. La pregunta es: ¿Aplica el derecho de admisión del negocio o el derecho del turista a recibir atención? ¿Es discriminación? ¿Hay prejuicio al generalizar que todos los excursionistas se comportan igual? Right on the beach, inexpensive and the food is great. I recommend the fish tacos and fries. The fish in the fish tacos is pretty heavily battered so if you want lighter fare the seafood salad my wife ordered was also great.
