Hotel Ex Hacienda de Chautla Trademark Collection by Wyndham — Hotel in Puebla

I was lured by the pictures and the idea of seeing something new and interesting. It was! Is a beautiful place, interesting architecture and layout. But... ran by really cold people. Not courteous at all, just the basic to get my money and give me my key. I had been lacking a full night sleep for a week due to bad hotels and I thought finally I would get lucky. 12:15 I was awaken by loud voices in the hallway. I thought they just arriving to their room. 12:25 I hear loud music, yelling, screaming, happy chanting. Get out of bed to investigate and noticed is coming from the hotel bar 100 ft away from my room. I immediately went to the reception and said to the guy: excuse me, are you guys allowing all this noise at this time? I paid to have some rest.... as I looked to the left of the counter I noticed to full liquor bottles...that was my answer! Yes they were allowing it. So sad. I went to bed to turn and toss thinking. The staff was friendly and the grounds were well maintained but that is sadly the only good thing I can say about it. We were there for one night for the firefly tour (very good by the way I recommend it) when we got back to the hotel we noteced there was some music coming from one of the confrence rooms. That was no big deal it was 11 at night there was time for the loud music to stop. But it didn't. 1am we called the front desk and they said that it would stop by 2 ok we can deal with that even though we didn't like the LOUD DRUNKEN kareoke. 2am came and went with it still going. We called again at 3 and 4 with no answer. It finally stopped after 4 in the morning. The next morning we got up and went to the breakfast that was supposed to be part of our package only to find out that it wasnt and that we would have to pay for it. At this point we were fed up. I had to spend a night dealing with drunken karaoke no internet and a bathroom that didn't lock. We had had enough. Está hacienda de finales del siglo XVIII es preciosa.

Hoteles Misión se ha encargado junto con Gobierno del Estado de Puebla (dueño de la hacienda) de rescatar y darle vida a un gran lugar. La capilla, los jardines, los patios, la cocina de talavera son extraordinarios. El restaurante del hotel con vista al lago artificial, coronado por el "castillo" hacen del lugar ideal para pasar la tarde. Al hotel te la da la bienvenida, la mismísima Marquesa de la Selva Nevada, junto a sus mozos, (interpretados por jóvenes de la compañía de teatro "Puebla histórico" ) quienes te llevaran a conocer de manera pícara, jocosa, y a manera de chisme los casi 300 años de historia del lugar; así como una mirada a diversas leyendas de la Puebla novohispana. Todo contado con mucha alegría y jocosidad, y donde los propios huéspedes vuelve "actores" improvisados de la puesta en escena. De verdad no se para de reír con ellos. Estos jóvenes te hacen el día con su representación.

Los jardines centrales son preciosos, jardines renacentistas con una hermosa fuente al centro. La fuente de las 3 Teresas adornada en su totalidad en Talavera poblana te llevan a disfrutar el lugar, una alberca techada, climatizada de muy buen tamaño, un bar de ambiente muy cálido, mesas para pasar el día afuera de las habitaciones. Sin duda muestran un gran trabajo en el rescate de la hacienda y una gran apuesta por brindar un buen servicio para descansar.

La gente del servicio es muy amable, se nota el esfuerzo y empeño con el que realizan su trabajo. Es sin duda un gran lugar, al que vale la pena conocer y pasar la tarde remando en el lago, o paseando por los jardines, o visitar la zona de spa que es muy cuidada y profesional.

Este lugar estaría perfecto de no ser por una cosa. Pese a que las habitaciones cumplen bien con lo necesario para estar tener comodidades, resulta que los colchones de las mismas se encuentran en pésimas condiciones. No sé si por viejos, o demasiado suaves, pero se "sumen" demasiado, impidiendo dormir. La comida de bufet es aceptable, a secas, literal, aceptable, nada del otro mundo, creo incluso que es apenas limitado. Y es ahí donde el hotel falla de manera integral. Cualquier hotel de 1 o 5 estrellas, o "grand turismo" como "venden" el misión de Chautla, si no te brinda el comer y dormir bien falla, así tengas una obra de arte por hotel.

Un hotel que cobra poco más de 3mil pesos por noche en habitación standar, y que te ofrece colchones viejos y un desayuno bufet pobre y sin gran sabor. No vale quedarse. Quizá visitarlo, pasar la tarde en sus instalaciones, ya que a 20 minutos de ahí en cualquier hotel motelero de San Martín Texmelucan, pueden encontrar un mejor colchón por 400 pesos, y las quesadillas de Río frio son más sabrosas que el bufet del...
