Posada " El Jardín" — Hotel in San Luis Potosí

|The place has an spectacular location (right in front of the main square) though the service is not very good. I’m not a picky traveler but there are some things that I disliked this time. Just one towel, no amenities AT ALL (just some tissue), no hand soap, none of the basics. Floor was wet and dirty when we arrived. They didn’t clean our room the first morning even thought they offer an hotel- like service so the floor remained all muddy and still wet until the next day. We had no hot water in the shower the second morning. The room is small but enough for two. A closet or shelf to hang the clothes is needed. I got the impression that there is a lack of interest from the owner/ manager into training his staff so they learn how to arrange the rooms and set the amenities for the incoming guests. The staff is kind but I understand that they are no able to solve all the issues at the Posada so more attention from the manager/ owner is needed. All my requests were solved until I texted the manager. And from that very point I can’t tell he was not helpful but only because I told him that he was offering things that he was not giving and that is not right. At the end he was nothing but helpful but first impressions matter the most. One thing I really liked besides the location is the small roof from which you get a wonderful view of the ‘Zocalo’. Muy buena opción. No tienen recpcionista, pero Lupita la del restaurante, que funge como recepcionista, hace un trabajo mucho mejor que si lo fuera. Una persona muuy atenta, que nos ayudó en todo y nos convenció de lo conveniente de quedarnos en este hotel. Pues al no tener recepción, no tener estacionamiento propio, y que los cuartos comienzan en el tercer piso por arriba de centros comerciales, es algo poco común. Pero Lupita nos mostró la habitación, luego nos la mejoró dándonos con balcónes y vista al parque principal e iglesia. Y luego de registrarnos, inclusive dejó de comer para llevarnos personalmente al estacionamiento, tal y como había prometido. Además de que todo en la habitación funciona excelente. Lo único no tan bueno, fueron una bola de "nacos", porque no se les puede llamar de otra manera, que a las 4 am, estaban golpeando un portón abajo en la calle, mentando madres y escandalizando por más de 20 mins. Tarda mucho en calentar el agua pero cuando sale es perfecta, el servicio es super sencillo, lo único que deben tomar en cuenta es el mini letrero que dice que busques en un restaurante llamado "Condesa" para que te den la llave y lo que solicites, no hay nadie en recepción.

El estacionamiento, cuando llegamos estuvo bien porque el auto podría quedarse frente a la posada, pero al otro día deberíamos moverlo al estacionamiento que ofrecen, ese esta alejado, si vas con las maletas es todo una odisea.
