Clean, location good. Not an appartment, was rented as such. Basically three double beds in a basement like hallway, with no means of ventilating (remember, this is for 6 people) on an area as small as some bathrooms. The dividing walls have gaps, the front door is not sealed (thankfully for ventilation) and lets in all noise of the street dogs, competing with the local mutts for dominance and volume. The bathroom looks kinda DIY, as the smell from the sewer main comes up through the pipes, and colours the entire ‘appartement’. There are zero windows, and one suspicious door in the back where we could hear the neighbours talking. The floor above was very clearly in single layer wood as we could feel every step the upstair neighbours made, we even noticed they made an effort not to make noise, but sadly it was very poor. The only reason I did not give it 1 star was because the place was clean, the host received us on time and honestly the price was probably not bad for the amount of people, but to be fair, this space was suited for 2...
Read moreA great laidback option to stay in Valle de Bravo for budget travellers. For the price you pay you receive a rooftop terrace with hammocks and a stunning view and a simple breakfast is included (changes each day, quesadillas and molletes were what was on the menu for my stay).
The kitchen is well equipped to self cater however the fridge is somewhat small and would be an issue if it was busy there’s no area to store food outside of the fridge.
Two bathrooms with a shower shared amongst all guests (15~ if at full capacity).
Common areas and bathrooms are cleaned daily.
Well located with grocery stores, market and dining options nearby.
The six bed dorm is small (you get what you pay for) and it gets quite hot and smelly as there’s no ventilation from either a fan or windows, it would be great if...
Read moreWe stayed for one night at Alebrije. The location is great, close to the centre and a nice street market. We booked the double room with private bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We had to work online and they made a special effort to ensure the WiFi connection was good for our calls. There is a nice view of the lake from the terrace area. The only suggestion I would give is to provide better pillows. The breakfast is quite small but considering it's included you can't complain. This is probably one of the best budget accommodation you will find in Valle de Bravo. Highly...
