Elvira was my housekeeper, and she was very sweet, very kind, attended to all my needs accordingly. She did an immaculate job in my room and just her overall cheerfulness. Very welcoming and very caring. Front lobby, gentlemen, named José, also was very nice, always very helpful and concerned for my needs. Dining area was very well staffed, staff was attentive and very courteous. I do not speak Spanish, and they did everything they could make me feel comfortable in the dining area. The hotel is actually very good. The prices are good, the rooms, especially those at the back , are very well appointed and the staff are not only very friendly, but also very helpful (particularly Gustavo). The restaurant has good international & Mexican food with a very good service. For us the only disadvantage is the location. It is not in Boca del Rio nor in Vera Cruz. You either have very long walks or you have to take a taxi or bus. The distances mention, for example 10 mins to Zócalo - that means by taxi. The sea is nearby, but no sandy beaches for...

The hotel is contemporary and it looks like the rooms were recently renovated. They are well equipped with ironing boards, small dryers and good amenities. There ir a pool on the first floor and is nice. The front desk staff is kind and the hotel provides a valet service, also very good.||There is, however, one complaint about the mattresses.
