Admittedly the grounds are pretty and very well kept (the one nice guy we encountered was the groundskeeper), and the room was ok and clean, bed was super hard - but the service is nonexistent. ||When I “checked in” there was one guy (who we never saw again) who charged me FIFTY US DOLLARS extra for my dog. That is an insane cost I haven’t paid anywhere else in Mexico! Had I known that, I would NEVER have stayed at this weird place. There was no one to talk to if there were any issues, you needed a blanket, etc…no front desk, no phone in the room to call anyone. it just felt like an event hall that no one worked at. There’s one restaurant that opened two hours for dinner and the food was awful. ||There was a group dinner ant the restaurant and we were treated like dirt while they served them. Only afterward did we get some decent service. We were treated like second-class citizens to the people at the event.||When the guy checked me in he told me breakfast was from 8-11 the next morning. We showed up at 8:05 and the lights were off. One of the people inside cleaning (just one of the same two waiters we saw the night before) said “five minutes.” We waited until 8:45 and it was still closed. We left with no breakfast even though we had PAID for it. There was no one to “check out” with. I just threw my key on a table in the lobby and left. I feel totally ripped off that I paid over $200 including the cost for my little dog to stay at this...
Read moreI would have loved to give Hacienda Yabucu a five star review, the food, rooms, and location were amazing and I had no problems with my stay. The visit however has been tarnished by an extremely frustrating billing issue.|My booking confirmation for the room was set for $3,300 MXN ($180 USD) per night, booked with a wedding event planner who had confirmed the rates. I booked on January 3, 2023 for three nights. and was charged for $618 USD.|Shortly after the wedding, (once again the location and everything about the hotel itself is amazing), I was charged for an additional $1,153.79 USD (March 5). Thus to date I have been charged $1,779.85 USD for three nights. The room booked was the "Deluxe Dos Camas".|Following this mischarge, I have tried repeatedly to reach out to Hacienda Yabucu via phone and email with no response. It appears the issue is simple, and that the hotel has accidently charged me my total rate ($9,900 MXN) for each night of my stay. I would love to resolve this issue by discussion, but cannot simply reach anyone...
Read moreTerrible service…more like no service. It’s more like an event hall, there’s no front desk and barely any staff. There’s no one to talk to if you have any issues in your room. No phone in the room. The food in the restaurant is absolutely terrible. There’s nowhere nearby to get food or any market or anything, we wanted a beverage but couldn’t get it until the restaurant was open for only 2 hours for dinner. There was a group event there who was catered to until they left, while we were mostly ignored. We felt like the very few people who were there didn’t even care about us as guests. The “check in” was with some guy I never saw again who ripped me off for the pet fee for $50 USD…never seen anything that high in Mexico. I was told breakfast was 8-11 the next morning, we waited until 8:45 and the restaurant wasn’t even open yet (not that I expected decent food, but maybe coffee and toast). We had to leave, so I never even got the breakfast we paid for. Total rip off and one of the weirdest places I’ve...
