Pearl Shell Apartments — Hotel in Dobrota

Pros: The view of the bay is spectacular. You will enjoy the cruise ships and boats passing by. The interior design and the quality of the bathroom fittings are pretty good. The location of the apartment on the 3rd line makes it not too noisy from the motorway below. Plenty of crockery, cutlery and glasses. Tumble dryer for bathing suits. Washing machine, but without timer of washing. Good quality of both bed and sofa, you will have a good night's sleep. Fridge is small, but enough for 1-2 days food. Location is not far away from Kator, just 4,6 km by car or walking along the waterfront. Dobrota beach for 15€ per day for sunbeds and umbrella in walking distance behind City supermarket.

Disadvantages: not even one hook for clothes, not enough shelves for things, no zone lighting, terrible signal quality wifi (through the door and on the balcony already the signal does not pass), not a complete set of utensils for cooking (for example there is no normal frying pan and a lid for it, the one that is there is a pancake pan), no lift to get up to the 3rd floor with a suitcase, uphill from the sea or the nearest town will make you think next time to use the car for it. There was a lot of dust, it was not cleaned and there was a lot of dust behind the sofa and TV. No mosquito nets on the windows. The doors to the balcony and out of the room can break mechanical part of opening, the door slides fly out and cannot be closed without considerable effort. The balcony is very hot during the day as there is no sunshade.

We stayed at this apartment during the first week of October 2024. The apartment itself is nice and offers a great view. However, our experience with the owner was disappointing. She was quite rude and unaccommodating.

Despite staying for 7 days with three adults and a child, we were only allowed one towel change and were denied additional toilet paper. For the rate we paid and the number of guests, we expected more basic supplies and better hospitality.

I would not recommend staying at this apartment. Instead, I suggest checking out Apartment Nikšević, where we stayed the previous year. The owners there were much kinder and far more generous...

Basement flat, neighbours above friendly, was hard to find, had damp in property, we did catch and released a small mouse, but the agent did not believe us, used 2 hands to catch with glass on card, so no photo....
