Initial impressions of this new hotel in the sleep surfing town of Sidi Kaouki, welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble at all for the staff. The hotel is light and airy, with huge atriums, amazing sea views and gorgeous interiors. It’s a very cool, chilled and relaxed place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our rooms were very comfy, cleaned daily and we had lovely views from our terrace. We did think the lighting was a bit dark in the (green) room and it could be a bit brighter. The water in the bathrooms was very rarely hot in the evening - tepid - we wondered if it was used up during the day which was why. The pool is cold water and it was so cold - it definitely needs to be heated in October. Please can the pool be heated.|Breakfast was slow but when it arrived it was delicious although our morning coffee was variable! We had lunch several times - delicious salads and really good sized main courses and dinners were delicious. Great sized portions for teenagers. We didn’t eat outside on the terrace at night as it was too dark and there was no lighting.|Over all though we had a really lovely relaxed stay.|This is our second visit to Sidi Kaouki and we had a lovely visit. We ate out locally in 2 lovely little eateries recommended by the hotel. We ventured into Essaouira, mucked about about quadbikes, had surf lessons and watched the world go by especially the donkeys. Camels, horses, cats and dogs. There was never a dull moment. We enjoyed the sunsets from the hotel which has been amazingly positioned especially for the sunsets. Although only one side of the pool area really gets the sun during the day so there is a fight for loungers to be in the sun.|We very much hope Sidi Kaouki does not change too much ever. It has a gorgeous rustic charm and once you get used to it you will never...
Read moreWe visited the Riad for 5 nights. We stayed in the Master Suite-Fatima. Such a beautiful room with a fireplace and canopy bed, sofa and chairs. The staff built a fire for us one evening it was just like home. We had 7 people total and 3 sea view suites for the other family members. Alma and Mohammad along with all the other staff were so accommodating. They arranged quad rides on the beach, camel rides, Hamman, massages and even a very special 70th Birthday celebration. Alma arranged for flowers and a cake at the very last minute for our celebration. They played Happy Birthday music, dimmed the lights and brought out the cake and flowers after a wonderful delicious dinner. The breakfast was plentiful and a little different each morning. Highly recommend the Berber eggs. YUM !!! This place was top notch in all aspects. Truly a magical...
Read moreI am extremely grateful that fate decided to direct me to this beautiful place. We were traveling to Morocco this September and we wanted to have a week of well deserved rest by the ocean side in a very quiet place called Sidi Kaouki (25 min ride by taxi from Essaouira) . This is a small village , with plenty of places where you can enjoy active recreation like surfing (huge waves), windsurfing, kite surfing, horse ridding, camel riding and quad riding. All by the ocean side. The hotel is located almost by the beach. Rooms are spacious and clean. The restaurant downstairs serve great breakfast and Moroccan cuisine. The pool is is also great. I would like to convey my appreciation to the entire team Amal, Salah and Hafid. Your professionalism and approach was at the highest level. |I truly recommend...
