My girlfriend and I spent the last two nights of our trip to Marrakech in this beautiful palais. After touring the country we were looking for a quiet and relaxing place to fill the batteries before flying back home. Palais Dar Ouladna absolutely satisfied that wish. The guesthouse (which can easily compete with a 4 to 5 star hotel) lies on the outskirts of Marrakech in a relatively quiet neighborhood (the only noisy thing is the nearby road, only busy on certain days during the week). Upon our arrival we were welcomed with a cup of traditional mint tea and a free upgrade to a room facing the garden and pool. The eight rooms of the villa are individually decorated and fully equipped. We had a balcony, international television, fridge etc. The staff is just fantastic: everyone working in Dar Ouladna is very very friendly, attentive and professional. Since our flight back home left in the afternoon and although normal check-out time is at 11am, we were able to stay at the pool for the whole day and could use a spare room with a shower to get ready after. Therefore, if you're looking for a place to chill and relax, you should definitely chose Dar Ouladna (we did not try the wide-ranging spa offer including traditional hamam, massages etc.). The garden and the pool are absolutely amazing. The guesthouse offers a driver (Rashid) to get you into town and back. One way costs 5€, which is about the amount you pay for a normal taxi (it is even cheaper during the night because of taxes). We enjoyed the garden during the day and went to the Medina at night (we already completed our sightseeing during our first days in Marrakech, where we stayed in a Riad in the Medina). All in all, I can highly recommend Palais dar Ouladna, which was one of our highlights during our fantastic...
Read moreThis place is on the outskirts of Marrakech and is a haven of quiet after a few days|| in the Center. It is near the airport and convenient for onward travel or day trips. Our room on the ground floor was large and very comfortable. There are lovely gardens with a waterfall wall and a very nice pool. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, Abdeljalil looked afrer us well. The breakfasts and dinners were all good (we were staying 4 nights and a bit more variety would have been good but we knew we only had to ask).||Amine, the manager helped us to arrange a low key trip to the Ourika Valley and our driver, Houssein? took us where we asked him to. It was an excellent day out and when we realized we had forgotten to order dinner he stopped at a store ( again we know they would have made us dinner anyway but we had a huge lunch so only wanted a snack)||On our last day Amine took me down to the kitchen and taught me how to make the traditional mint tea. An excellent place to relax after the bustle of the city or a...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I stayed here in October 2015 and it really was wonderful!||||We were met at the airport by one of the members of staff with a big smile, and then as soon as we arrived we were served delicious mint tea and lovely little biscuits. Our room was lovely (the selma suite) and it has access to a balcony at the front of the property. The food served is great and the service by everyone hear is so personable and friendly - they really made our experience here fantastic.||||They also offer a driver service which was another massive plus point to our holiday and is priced really well. It saved us the stress of having to try and bargain a price with taxi drivers and the staff gave us their contact numbers which made us also feel safe and looked after!||||I could write so much more about what we loved but it would take forever because we really loved staying here! :)||||Amazing service, great room, lovely food - don't miss this...
