Hostel Ghali Gueliz — Hotel in Marrakesh Prefecture

Overall good stay, the single room option was spacious and of good standard. I did have some trouble checking in though as I first could not enter and reach staff, but they were friendly enough. It must be said that they speak French and Arabic, but not much English, sign language and translation app works for simple things, but makes elaborate questions/topics harder.

Tour options and bicycle hire that was mentioned in booking site, did not seem available though, or at least not in an easy accessible manner.

Train station is very close, so good location for one night and traveling with train next day. It was however not that close to Medina Square, and took a little bit of a walk...

The hostel is pretty chill! A perfect 1 nighter place for travelers and the young man who manages the place is very kind, although the language barrier made it difficult to communicate. The kitchen doesn't have much for those who like cooking and not having a key during my stay made me dependent on calling the receptionist if I needed to move in or out of the hostel. ATTENTION! L'adresse indiquée sur Google (Avenue Akioud) est incorrecte! Et pour vous rendre à cette adresse erronée en taxi à partir de la gare, vous perdrez beaucoup de temps et de l'argent. D'après ce que j'ai pu comprendre, les chauffeurs sont plutôt réfractaires à emprunter la route gare- Avenue Akioud. La patronne est avisée de l'erreur en date du 2025/05/10. Il faut plutôt vous rendre Bd Moulay Rachid, intersection Yougoslavie. Demander aux taxis de vous conduire au resto de poissons de Gueliz Snack Balhia. L'hostel est juste à côté. Personnel accueillant, proximité de services utiles pour voyageurs (restaurants, buanderie, matériel d'emballage). Établissement propre, aucun doute. Mimi fait le ménage à tous les jours!
