Our stay at Kanimambo Lodge was nothing short of exceptional. Pierre, our host, was an absolute gem. His warm and genuine hospitality and insightful conversations about life made us feel like family - he went out of his way to make our stay truly amazing. The entire staff at the lodge exuded kindness and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. The food was delicious and everything was affordable.

However, the icing on the cake was experiencing the lodge’s first island tour by boat. Exploring the island in this unique way was a breathtaking experience that allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of the area, we got to visit the Portuguese Island, view the lighthouse and snorkel in Santa Maria. This environmentally friendly lodge is undeniably one of the best places we’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. This was the highlight of our whole Mozambique trip! We had the most amazing time at Kanimambo with Pierre and Mareleen. They were extremely helpful in assisting us to get to the island when the ferry was broken down and we thought that we wouldn't even be able to get there... Everything at Kanimambo was an experience! We had delicious food, great rooms, an amazing guide in Angelo, who took us to the Lighthouse through the Mangroves. Aside from being a wealth of information, nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel so at home.. We had a wonderful boat trip to the Biologica and Santa Maria for snorkelling.
