Mixed feelings… the staff were friendly & accommodating. The hut we stayed in was clean & comfortable with a mosquito net over the bed, we struggled opening & closing the door. The hut has a bar fridge which worked well. The hut had more than enough storage space & a dressing table with mirror & plug points sufficient. The communal bathrooms were spacious & clean, but some of the light fittings weren’t working which made it difficult to see. Toilet paper rolls were replaced only upon request. Lots of mosquitos in the bathrooms. No mozzie coils used. We had a hot shower the first night but the last two nights were cold water. The bar area was pleasant, but not stocked with anything at all not even bottled water - staff had to go get supplies according to our requests. Food was alright & menu is limited but breakfast was great. Pool was lovely & kept clean daily. We enjoyed using the kayaks which is included in the accommodation price. We enjoyed lying on their loungers with cushions in the garden. We think the garden & grass itself could use some TLC. The wi-fi wasn’t working & we had to use a hotspot from the staff. Card machine also wasn’t working well. Communal kitchen clean, neat & tidy with lots of storage. Not sure if the fridges or freezer were working as we didn’t go the self catering route. The staff gladly drove us to a local restaurant or nearby areas. We could play any music or put anything on the bar tv we wanted to watch but the lodge was quiet & lacking atmosphere. Owners weren’t there. Overall we had a good stay but it could’ve been much much better. We paid R1000 per night...

The staff is just amazing, always there to help you, and assist in all your queries. Thank you so much for Zito & Henriques for your warm welcome! ||||I went to Manico in June with my family for a week. We book a fishing charter, the men caught fish, and us ladies got the chance to see whales and swim with hundreds of bottle nose dolphins. One the most incredible experience in my life!!!||||Even on rainy days we went out on back of bakkies to the light house and to the snorkeling spot. It was the perfect place to bound again with every member of our family.||||I went again to Manico, but just with my boyfriend in December. It is under new ownership since beginning of December, so i've been able to notice the changes. A lot of effort and maintenance has been put in the place. ||||They now have kayaks, and more activities offered, they have a restaurant open (we ate the most delicious prawns). There is also a big communal kitchen with all the utensils, for the ones that prefer self-catering. And my favorite place is the bar, which is spacious, and you feel the vibe of the place there, with the boma, and your feet in the sand.||||The rooms and bathroom are clean, rustic and basic. We didn't get to see the new linen it was arriving as we left.||||Considering quality / price, i think Manico is great, it still needs some touches, and i can't wait to go again next year and see the changes with the...

From the booking process to the moment I returned home, my experience at Manico Camp was nothing short of exceptional. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel at home from the very first contact. The entire stay was marked by comfort, delicious food, and warm hospitality. The meals were a true highlight: fresh fish and shrimp prepared to perfection, and a hearty, well-served breakfast that set the tone for each day. Despite visiting in winter, the cozy and inviting atmosphere made me forget the season altogether. The beds were especially comfortable, and every detail of the rustic décor added charm to the experience. A special thanks to Zito, Henriques, and Vongane, who were always available, kind, and ready to assist with a smile. Through Manico Camp, I had the opportunity to explore the beautiful island of Inhaca, including a breathtaking trip to Ilha dos Portugueses, an absolute must-see. Manico Camp is a chef’s kiss kind of place. I would recommend it a thousand times over to anyone looking for an authentic, peaceful, and soul-refreshing escape.

We had a very nice stay on the island of Inhaca in Mozambique. The resort is clean and natural—exactly the kind of relaxing retreat you'd want. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful. One big downside: Without a vehicle, you're stuck there, as you need one for almost everything. Furthermore, the prices are significantly higher than the European average—the stay is rather expensive overall. Nevertheless, if you're looking for peace, nature, and a special place, this is the place to be.
