Hpa-an River View Hotel & Sky Bar — Hotel in Hpa-An District

My lovely with and I spent three nights at this hotel when visiting Hpa-An and the surrounding area. I'd think very carefully before booking here as there's currently a lot of construction going on nearby. The hotel's eponymous river view is, in fact, being rapidly eaten up by the building work between it and the waterfront. Sooner or later they'll have to think about changing their name! Such a shame as I imagine it would have been a lovely place to spend a few days a year or two back. If you do decide to stay, make sure you get a room on the backside of the hotel as the guys at the construction site start work very early and it can get pretty noisy. ||||Our room was OK, but small and basic. Clean and comfortable enough though. The air conditioning was pretty good and the water piping hot. But the WiFi was a bit ropey. Connectivity was a bit hit & miss but it worked more often than not. Breakfast was included in our rate of $24 a night but wasn't great. Greasy fried noodles were about as good as it got. It's served on the rooftop from where the views are pretty good if you can ignore the construction site noise.||||The hotel can organise onwards bus travel for you. We were heading to Bago and the bus literally passes the front door where you can hop on. Motorbike rental is also available at K10,000 per day and is a good way to explore the surrounding area. ||||If you're reading this in late 2018 or early 2019 I'd say book elsewhere. One fact for this overnighting place. '' It all concerning about the money , . That is the only way of thinking 💭 of the place and the atmosphere you feel there. It feels like. (except one employee who speaks a bit English). ||For this price that you pay for this nearly basic accommodation, it is ununderstandable. ||||||To give you one of the many examples. ||I know you don't go on holiday's to look tv. But when you are single traveler you can use it. ||The TV was changing all the time during you was looking,....||||The employees doesn't understand you but always says Yessssss,.... What is very wrong because they say yes even it is totally wrong or dangerous.||||Also when you want an important busticket, to travel further,.... And you ask the next day . '' is it booked ''||They look confused 😕 and no it wasn't booked again. You really have to beg and insist to do it in front of your eyes 👀. ||||This hotel., motel ?.? We booked Hpa-An River View Motel and were very excited of going there to explore the great Environment. Unfortunately monsoon rain kept coming in and the small city of Hpa-An went flooded.
