Hotel Victory Point — Hotel in Mandalay District

Dirty, old, broken down, unhygenic and this is being kind. ||Located in dark, older area this hotel is more like a low class back packers hostel. Due to the time we arrived at night we had to stay one night but booked another hotel at 6am next morning and left immediately forgoing what we paid for the next nights booking.||Bathroom toilet top did not fit toilet, no cupboards or wardrobes, minibar was bedside table top. Dirty sheets, super noisy, ripped and filthy carpet in the room.||This is no exaggeration...didnt even have a shower as bathroom was soooo filthy and bwthroom would of flooded if the shower was turned on as onlyba shower head cord attached to the wall 30cms from the toilet.||Avoid at all costs.||We had 2 rooms and both were disgusting and the same level of cleanliness||Stay near the railway area. We spent incredibly confortable (and adventurous) days in Mandalay, and in great part was thanks to the way in which the hotel and its workers treated us. We hd planned to stay there 2 nights only, but then we decided to extend our stay for 2 more Nights!! From the cleanliness, confort and spectacular everyday service, to the food, the jacuzzi and views of the terrace: everything was perfect!! We felt like at home, and the workers' smiles and the way in which they treat the customers is outstanding, always taking good care of us and being really attentive. I can’t understand all the positive reviews here. We booked a room for one night as we had a layover dune the next flight, so we followed the good reviews and got a smelly smocking room with no toilet paper and dirty toilet seat. We cleaned it by ourselves but thought we better asked for a change of the room as we are no smokers and the smell is really annoying. Unfortunately everything was booked out and we needed to stay in this bad room. Even if the staff was nice, it doesn’t change the situation of the room!...
