The Hotel rooms were stunning, the views fantastic. However on the first night on the 9th floor it sounded as though helicopter was landing, we were subsequently told it was the heating system! The lighting system beside the bed. After pressing every button, I was unable to turn off the light over the curtains, so I had to switch them all off. A bedside light....essential! I am sure that in the 'designer' room, it would not have been approved, but for Guest comfort?||Then we come the the Hangover Bar (really?) We meet for Dinner and drinks as a group. Cocktails and food were ordered. A companion and I ordered Mojitos...BAD mistake! With every drink, Menu, food visit to our table, we asked for the said drinks, in all 9 TIMES. WHEN they eventually turned up...They were just lime and Soda. I approached the Man I assumed to be the Manager, he took the straw from my drink, dropped some on his wrist and tasted it....Yes he sadid, just lime and Soda!!!! EVENTUALLY, after food and drink had been consumed by the rest of the party, ours . .....Oh and to add to the insult, my food was cold. I was in a party and did not wish to spoil it for others. The Restaurant, by comparison, was excellent! Good food and exemplary service. Notice to Management....train the poor staff upstairs and don't serve food. Get a proper...

After you put your key card in the slot you then have to wait 7 minutes for the A/C to start. So you have to sit sweating buckets for it to start it's countdown - very uncomfortable as it seems to take forever for the room to cool down. So every time time you leave your room you go through the same rigmarole.||This hotel is full of Chinese tourists. Breakfast was a fight to get a table and food. They seem to take over whole floors and leave their bedroom doors open. I also saw a half naked man walking along the corridor!! Instead of using the phone they just shout down the corridors.||The roof top bar - Hangover - is a must with great views of Mandalay. I didn't have a problem with ordering drinks.||Staff on reception couldn't speak/understand English.||Overall a nice...
Read moreThe rooms of this hotel are fine. They are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The rooms are very clean as-well.||The reason for the average rated is this hotel is extremely noisy. There is a weird noise that goes on at all hours. The weird noise sounds like a lift going up and down and scrapping along the wall as it goes up and down. They also play the hall way music really loudly from 6am. ||All members of our groups (6 rooms on different floors) heard the noise and no one got any sleep for 2 nights. ||The staff and friendly and helpful, the WiFi is good in the lobby but non existent in the rooms. The breakfast is good. ||The sky bar rooftop restaurant and bar is good for drinks but I wouldn’t recommend the food. The drinks service is quick but the food service is way too slow. I waited 1.5hrs for my food which was just a salad and...
