RITZ GRAND HOTEL MANDALAY — Hotel in Mandalay District

I had a brief one night stay at hotel's superior room with a views to the west. The hotel has 11 floors and the 12th is an opened deck with 360 views to the Shan hills, historic Mandalay hill, the Ayeyarwaddy river and Minwun range (though a little far). The rooftop 42 Street Bar is a great place to chill at the end of the day. The buffet breakfast and all day dining is served at the restaurant on the 11th floor. The two lifts service is fast and enough for this hotel size and the panoramic glass windows give the lift ride more enjoyable. The superior room type is the main functional room category while two deluxe rooms and one family room are on every floor. The deluxe rooms at the corner have better views with windows on two sides and a bit more specious. There are also none smoking and smoking floors with two emergency exits. We stayed here for four nights in March. The hotel is modern and clean, and our room was also very clean and the bed comfortable! ||||Breakfast is varied and delicious - Myanmar and Western style options. We ate at the roof top restaurant 3 of the nights of the stay as it was so good. We loved the ambience and the views. The menu is varied and the food excellent. The prices are very reasonable. ||||The staff at this hotel are wonderful. So friendly and helpful. We'd like to thank them for their professionalism and help with organising day trips / taxis / etc. ||||We would highly recommend this hotel, and already have done so to a friend who stayed for a night and loved...

Mandalay is a peculiar city: buildings are scattered here and there, with plenty of green (bushland) in between. Roads have no pedestran pavement and...the city is big, very big.||From what I have seen, there is not a city center.||Around the Ritz Grand there is almost nothing , and that makes you appreciate even more the ambient that you find here.||The hotel is 'fresh' and clean. Staff are ready to help you with a genuine smile.||Breakfast was good, but dinner was even better..||For the dfficult eater that is myself, the simple but tasty menu of the hotel restaurant was really a blessing.||Should I return to Mandalay, this is the hotel where I would stay.||Highly...
