MYA SEESEIN HOTEL — Hotel in Myeik District

My friend and I have booked a twin room through the hotel search-website Jovago, for a promotional rate. When we got here, we were told that they cannot accept out reservation because they don't have a partnership with Jovago and they cannot accept that price. The attitude was rather aggressive and rude, and a man who looked as the manager was looking with a very bitter and insulting border-line face at us. We went away and called Jovago, who fixed it with the hotel. But the kind of welcoming we have received didn't make it easy to feel welcome afterwards.||The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Aircon, tv with Myanmar channels and fridge in the room. They advertise free WiFi but it didn't work during the two days we stayed here. Breakfast was very limited in choices but otherwise good. Quite a view from.the breakfast room, with the sea and the harbour opening in front of the hotel.||We have asked for some information during the stay, like to visit the island just across a small water path from the hotel, if we can find a place with cocktails, etc. Each time to reception staff seemed to be put at trouble, as they needed long consultations and discussions among themselves, but it looks like they were really trying to help, but less used.to get questions about touristic stuff. That made me believe that they are not ready yet to deal with foreign travellers.||The rate of 35USD seems a little bit overpriced considering the conditions and service, and not competitive at international standards, but it looks like an average price for Myeik.||I would choose another place next time I am in town, despite the great view from...

We booked in advance into this establishment. When we arrived the staff didn't wanted to give us a room until we pay in cash. However we already paid at the time of the booking. The reception is outspokenly rude, impolite and incompetent. |In the room there are amazing lot of mosquitos. I would never recommend to stay her. We had one guy arriving with us. Once he saw how they treated us, he politely wished good luck for us and disappeared. Good decision. After our night here we change also to the grand jade, which is only a little bit more expensive but light years better.|This is typically state run mismanaged dogy Myanmar hotel. There are plenty of better choices in town. So go for something else.|The only good thing is the rod top. You have a nice view over the port and the island...

I’ve visited Myeik for two times and stayed at the same hotel since the view from this hotel is just splendid. Hotel is just refurbished and there is a lift which is such a blessing for me😇 coz I hate climbing up thousands of stairs to reach my room at fifth floor. (the scenery from my room is incredible😍) The service is also excellent, breakfast is super delicious, has free WiFi, and hotel room is also tidy and spotless.
