This hotel is near the village so it was pretty easy for me to go to the restaurants. For people who likes to take pictures, this hotel is great for you guys as there are so many places with nice views to take heavenly good pictures. There was also a pool table, a mini soccer toy, and books to read which I indeed enjoy and there's a mini bar for kids to enjoy sweets and the chair in the lobby was pretty nice to sit on while waiting for my room. The swimming pool were huge and there was a mini pool for kids as well, the water were so clean so it was pretty good to swim in. After going on a walk, I noticed that the sand on front of this hotel were white and clean than other hotels and the were no sellers so it was peaceful to just sit there and enjoy the sunrise/sunset. Although I stayed in the 2nd Seaview, I could clearly see the sea/shore unlike other hotels since it had huge gap between two buildings. All the workers were nice and caring as well! My whole family went to go snorkeling (— you can book your own boat from the hotel btw) and the receptionists kept calling me to check up on me which I thought was pretty kind of them. Since they give electricity 24/7 and the WI-FI connection was good, I had a great time staying in the room when I couldn't go out. What I liked the most about this hotel would be the breakfast as it has for the options from Asian food to Western food. There's also a kids menu and a mini playground near the restaurant area for kids to play.
Yet there are still some drawbacks for this hotel. The sound proofing system was poor and I could hear everything everyone around me was doing the the shower's drainage system was poor as well. I was disappointed by the fact that there were no bathtub according to the price I paid. It was the thing I was looking the most forward to.
Overall, this hotel is great and suitable for every age and if you're the type like me who hates only staying the hotel and likes to go around every where in Ngwe Saung, this hotel might be prefect for you! I've visited Ngwe Saung for millions of times and stayed in almost every hotel yet this is the first hotel I've wrote a review to as I...
Read moreAlthough it is expensive, the standard of the hotel live up to the cost. Once you enter, you will be greeted by the lobby with vintage designs, very high class and pleasing to the eye. Oh. Did i forget to mention they serve you water melon juice in a beautiful coconut shell while you are booking in at the lobby? Instagram worthy so get ready your camera or phone! After booking in, you will be escorted to the left side of the lobby and walk straight ahead into the dining arena. It is a standard catering with self service, unless you're ordering eggs. If you book in, breakfast is free everyday until the day you book out of hotel. Lunch and dinner, however, will cost you around 9000 kyats per person. Walk through the dining arena and you will be greeted by freshly mowed grass, a few hammocks, swimming pool and baby pool, and further ahead is a white sandy beach with ocean that stretches to the horizon. A breath taking sight. I can only decribe so much in words. Seeing it with your own eyes is best:) And on the right side are.... (drumroll please) hotel apartments! That is where you will be staying throughout your getaway. Inside every room are: bedroom for two, a tv, fridge and bla bla which all hotels have:) It has vintage design all over and it is really satisfying. I highly...
Read moreWith all honesty, the stay was good. Not excellent, but not bad.
Hotel facilites were great and the rooms were okay. The beach area was clean and very well-maintained.
Housekeeping staff were very helpful, friendly, and polite. Some went out of their way to help make sure our stay was enjoyable.
Poolside bar service was excellent, however the food and drinks were a bit overpriced for the portions that were offered.
The breakfast buffet had quality food and offered a range of different cuisines, but the options were very limited. Customer service was also poor at times. Although I can understand it’s hotel policy, the restaurant manager was quite rude and condescending when enquired whether it was okay to have outside food at a restaurant table. And oddly, the restaurant only accepts cash and doesn’t accept digital payment methods (e.g. credit card), which is unreasonable for a high-end hotel.
If you want to enjoy food from outside vendors and have more flexibility with your travel experience, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel as they place hefty fines on consuming outside food, forcing guests to buy over-priced food items from the hotel.
Based on my experience, I wouldn’t...
