had a generally pleasant stay at this hotel, but there are a few areas for improvement.
The good things first: The staff are very well trained and friendly. From the receptionist to the cleaning staff, everyone greeted us with a warm “Mingalar par” and a smile every time we made eye contact. It made us feel truly welcomed. Beach and pool security were also very attentive and always ready to ensure guest safety.
We stayed in Room 317, a balcony sea view room. The balcony was spacious, and there was a hanger to dry wet clothes—very thoughtful. The room and bathroom were both large, clean, and tidy, which added to our comfort.
Now the not-so-great parts: • The hotel doesn’t have a lift, which made it tiring for the older people in our group. • We booked a room with an extra bed, but it wasn’t ready at check-in time (2 PM). We only got it around 2:30 PM. • One towel was ripped, but the staff changed it quickly after we reported it. • The Wi-Fi is poor and needs fixing. • Breakfast menu needs variety. We stayed 2 nights and had the same Myanmar breakfast item (Mohinga) both days. It would be better to rotate dishes. • On the first morning, they served Myanmar tea, which tasted amazing (10/10!). Sadly, they didn’t serve it on the second day 🥲 — very...
Read moreAll together 20 Rooms booked and staying for 2 nights. Not Enough Meeting Room's facilities to accommodate 50 Pax. Seems like having over 50 Rooms but not enough Twin Bedrooms so one King Size and Extra bed for Mens to share as triple occupancy. The Breakfast was terrible. Not even having Beacon and Sausages and look like small cheap Motel. The buffet dinner was also bad coz rice were cold and curries provided doesn't worth 20,000MMK.|The worst thing ever is keep on asking full payment to be made though they were informed since booking that we are from a reliable corporate group. Firstly asking some % more if payment is made by mobile banking which is unacceptable and later we hold the payment and it 's been changed like no need for extra %. Hotel Rooms are clean and all Staffs are very helpful but only the Management has some problems in policies that they should review. Wouldn't recommand Group Booking to this Resort at all. We booked directly and staying with the Walk in Rates as GIT. But service never go beyond, way too far actually as not considering any, in terms of Customer Experiences. We will never come back...
Read moreDuring rainy season on July 2019, we visited Ngwe Saung Beach and decided to put up at this THE VILLAGE RESORT hotel. It is a newly established hotel, which was opened on February 2019, according to the hotel manager's words.||||We didn't get the early check-in as one company staff group had already stayed. Poor Us!||||We stayed at a Second Sea View on first floor. Room is nicely furnished. ||Some beautiful pictures are hanged on the wall.||Water Conditioning System (Hot water) is available. GREAT!||Bathroom amenities are good.||TV is wide-screened and movies channels are many. Raining but not lazy day!||Hotel is very close to the seashore, nice location. We enjoyed the partial sea views of big breakers, crushing in thunderous whites.||||24 Hour electricity is available.||But, one thing is that Air-conditioning is only available periodically with four shifts (Moning on/Afternoon off/Evening on/Mid night off) but I am not so sure of the exact hours.||||Most enjoyment of all, breakfast is so so xo great. Chinese Taste + Western Bread mixing.||||Highly...
