Nice place for reasonable price. BUT IF YOU NEED TAXI, BUS OR TRAIN ARRANGE IT YOURSELF, OTHERWISE YOU’LL PAY OVERPRICED. He send a friend’s taxi to get us to the train station and we realized that he (and the taxi driver) were trying to scam us by saying that if we wanted a seat in upper class we needed to pay 9800k (instead of 6800k). We refused and asked for a seat in ordinary class, so the taxi driver (who was acting of translator) left the train station. After he left the ticket vendor told us that if we wanted we could travel in UC for the official price, so we realized it was all planed to try to get a few kyats more. I feel really disappointed about the owner of the guesthouse who was very friendly and kind to us during our stay. Also don’t miss the restaurant “Forever food center” across the street because they have the best Shan Noodle that you’re going to...

Read moreGot recommendation from taxi driver and was not disappointed. 9000 for a bed with fan. Basic room and decent bathroom. House is pleasant and the family that runs the house is very friendly. You can rent bikes for the day. The breakfast was a feast. The owner, who has a great grasp of Myanmar history, drove me to the train station and helped me get a ticket. It's also 5 minutes from a great night market. Great place to spend a couple of nights in a quite town with few tourists. Talk to the manager as much as you can, he is full of helpful information and insightful facts into Myanmar traditional customs. Can also ask the nice ladies to help you apply thanaka before a long day in the sun. Highly recommend for backpackers and...
