Blue Vanda Lodge — Hotel in Taunggyi District

Outstanding!! Although I travel a lot, having visited hotel from all categories and levels all over the world, I don't usually write reviews, mostly because I lack time for it. However, after having stayed at Blue Vanda I felt that I had to at least return in writing what has been provided for me during my stay. With full conviction, I may assure you that I have never been as well treated in any other hotel in the world as I have been in this place. From the recepcionist to the Manager, I was given full atention from the moment I arrived until entering my van to (sadly) leave Inle Lake. What an experience. Trully the best service around. But it's not only the service that is outstanding, but also the hotel and the room (clean, spacious, classy and super comfortable) that were marvelous and far beyond any expectations. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, and will pick it anytime over any other if I ever return to this beautiful place on earth called Inle Lake. Mesmerising! Thanks...

The photos of this hotel do not do it justice. Rooms consist of bungalows set in lovely gardens. The rooms are extremely spacious and stylish, which does not come across in the photos at all. The bathrooms are equally spacious and well designed, the shower could fit in a football team! ||We were on a honeymoon trip and they decorated our bed in a spectacular fashion! ||We arrived late and did not feel like going out. We ordered from their snack menu which was extremely well priced, and the food delicious. They adapted a noodle dish for my vegetarian diet with out a problem. ||The only let down was the breakfast, which was not even as the menu suggested (no pastries, just bread & jam) and needs some work. ||The team at this hotel were exceptional from beginning to end. We stayed in Blue Vanda for 3 nights in the family room. The rooms are big, clean and beautiful. We enjoyed chilling at the terrace and looking at the beautiful garden. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good. Also free bicycle to use.|The only bad thing we experienced was that we were charged too much to do laundry (15$ for a small bag) and also for a hiking tour and taxi service. Also, these extra’s we had to pay cash directly to the manager. We felt he put the money in his own pocket.|Overall, we would really recommend booking your stay in this hotel.
