Inle Lake has this Myanmar Treasure Resort on its shoreline. The resort has many individual huts each luxuriously appointed with all the modern amenities. The bathroom has a deep bath and an outside shower. The water is always very hot. At night hete in February it can be cold and extra blankets and hot water bottles are provided. The lounge is comfortable and the television channel 1 shows details about the tribes living in the Shan province, and their many different customs and economies. The front row of huts have a spectacular view of Inle lake which has many different birds flying about. This resort has a wide ranging menu, and offers full spa tteatments. The staff are very friendly and very efficient, anticipating the very next thing guests wìll be needing. A boat trip is available from the resort, sometimes 4 hours to go down the lake and visit the many craft workshops and see the items being made. Read moreAlthough its nice being on the waterside (although most of the huts don't have a lake view), it's location means its almost impossible to go anywhere else for food and trips and taxis realistically have to be booked through the hotel. The trips offered by the hotel are reasonably priced ($25-30) although this is much higher than the standard local price of 20,000kyat (around $15) for the hire of a driver and boat for the day, which means a lot of the cost is going to the hotel rather than the locals. The buffet breakfast here is amazing, although its only on when there are enough guests so you might be offered the fixed menu instead. Dinner here is an alright price compared to western restaurant prices although wildly more expensive than local prices and the food is pretty average. The taxi transfers to nyuang shwe offered by the hotel are double the local price too!
In summary: if I were to visit inle lake again I would stay at one of the nice hotels around nyuang shwe and give...

As I arrived late into the evening, I missed the sunset but sun rise time was amazing. So I recommend to you to arrive early enough to enjoy the sunset.
I tried the Burmese massage and scrub at the spa. It was about $50 for 90 minutes deal but I think you get what you pay for..they can do much better. I think they should do something about the selection of the music. It was not suitable music to where you are expected to relax. The shower was very dark so you couldn’t see the scrub being washed off or not and the drain smelled sewage.
The over water villa was very spacious and beautiful design. Outdoor deck, shower and the living room overlooking the lake added the charm to the room.
Breakfast buffet was mix of local, Chinese and western food. Good selection of the pastries to...
