We stayed here for two nights and were greeted by a very friendly lady (I think the lady that runs it). There were some comprehension issues due to the language barrier but we were generally able to understand. ||||The room was basic and generally fine but was absolutely ridden with mosquitoes, as was the bathroom, and we were bitten several times only minutes after arrival in the room. The window had been left open without the insect mesh before our arrival. The mesh had large holes in too so might be worth replacing. I recommend bringing some insect killer spray! The bathroom was clean-ish but we appreciated the use of ceramic pots for shower gel etc as saved on plastic. ||||AC worked well; TV only had Myanmar channels (I think this hotel is aimed more at domestic tourists). WiFi was better than many locations that we have experienced in Myanmar, but as with many, not wholly reliable. Breakfast was fine. ||||All in all, it’s fine for a couple of nights but bring your mozzie spray! Unsure on value for money as we booked all our accommodation through a travel...
Read moreI checked into to this cute and cosy hotel after much recommendation online, and I loved everything about it!||||Firstly, the two girls did a fantastic job of running the place and taking care of all of their guests. They were incredibly friendly and had the sweetest smiles! I was even upgraded to a nicer room upon check in, of which I really appreciated!||||The 'lounge' area was a great place to meet other interesting travellers and a pleasant place to sit, relax and unwind in with free tea and coffee (served from 3pm-5pm).||||When I came back later on in the evening, the two girls were always attentive to let me in through the gate. I felt bad about this but they told me happily not to worry!||||In terms of location it's right in the town so it's easy access to anywhere else. You can rent bicycles here too for just 1000kyat, of which is a very good deal and it's for all day usage!||||All in all I thoroughly recommend this place, it's especially good for solo travellers wanting to meet others. Thank you very much for the...
Read moreI had not realised the area and the hotel would be so chilly. This is my tenth visit to Myanmar and my problem is usually looking for aircon and trying to stay cool. I was so grateful for the electric blanket and thick blankets the hotel provided, a nice touch was that the hotel turndown service put my blanket on for me. There was plenty of hot water but the bath tap did not work. However, the mechanic was called and sorted out the problem. I had chalet 310 andt this was a good walk from reception.||||Wifi was only available in the reception area and the connection was weak. The manager was very helpful and spoke excellent English but the other staff had a basic knowledge if that. My purpose for staying here was so I could visit the Blue Lagoon and the Manemaye Taung with its...
