This hotel is modestly priced ($50 double/twin, $60 double/twin with balcony, including breakfast) yet has exceptionally high standards. Just one year old (Oct 2015) it is in pristine condition and kept spotless throughout. Air conditioned bedrooms are spacious and have all you need. The beds are extremely comfortable with duvets and white linen and fresh towels are provided daily. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and there is always plenty of hot water. Staff are delightful and extremely helpful and the manager Zayar is always eager to oblige. We asked for coffees in our room one day and he immediately sent up a kettle with sachets of coffee, creamer and sugar - all complimentary. Breakfast is included - either Korean (the hotel is Korean owned, hence the excellent management) or Anerican (eggs, toast, fruit, coffee). The restaurant serves only Korean food at lunch and dinner, but there are plenty of other restaurants nearby.||The hotel is in a quiet location, and is a little challenging to find at first (ask for Nine Mile Road at Ocean Centre and turn off this road at the Corola Hotel). The hotel is only a few minutes drive from the airport and pickups can be arranged for just 5000 kyats (about $4) which saves you haggling with local taxi drivers. ||I had been staying at another nearby hotel which I have used for years but standards were declining so moved to Hotel 9 Mile on the recommendation of a local friend. I didn't regret the move at all. The hotel is...
Read moreHas to be 5 stars from me ...The young male Staff were just exceptional and made the stay memorable. They come running to Help if anyone is carrying anything. Also they are the housekeeping crew. They bring fresh clean water and just Help everywhere they can. Very impressive Service and seem genuine in their position to please.||The rooms are very large. Very large...the Hot water is plentiful. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The curtains block the light and rooms are cleaned Daily. The air conditioning is cold. Everything is just great. Also the 9 mile hotel is not too big so you are looked after very well.||Hotel 9 mile is close to great shopping. The clothes shoes and bags. A large supermarket like Kmart or big w but with groceries. It has a pleasing variety of eateries in short walking distance one way up the street, and another lot of restaurants and Hair Dresser just as close the other direction. I could comfortably walk around alone at night without feeling concerned. It has a Medical area with major Hospital and is close to the Yangon Airport. Not far from everything really, just Call a grab taxi and the Staff Help with the directions. ||I would have stayed longer or come back but it was fully booked out. This is an extremely affordable and reasonable place to stay with modern Bathroom facilities good breakfast and Super welcoming Staff. I highly recommend the...
Read moreI was referred here by my tour guide who is friends with the manager. The manager was there to greet me getting out of the car. I was pretty impressed. The hotel is only 5 min from the airport...10 min through traffic. That's the beauty of the place being so close.||||I had dinner at the restaurant. This hotel mainly caters to Koreans who come to Yangon for golf excursions. The Korean food was amazing. Even the kimchee was true, original Korean made.||||The bed, like all of Myanmar, is hard. But, I got used to it as we stayed at 7 hotels throughout our travel from 3* to 5*.||||I went to the Spa and had an 75 min massage. The girls are quite young.....16-19 year olds. The massage is a Thai style massage where they would manipulate your back and go through all kinds of contortions. The beds are laid out very close to each other so you could hear the next person beside you. It was only 10,000 which is about $12.00 US. Amazing. No wonder it is a very popular place.||||The staff is very friendly, service oriented and on the ball. I paid $45 US for the night and was a happy camper. Maybe my price was good because it was a referral. Would definitely return here if we ever come back to Myanmar. All in all a very satisfying stay. Simple and detail oriented. Thank you...
