HOYA International Hotel Yangon — Hotel in Yangon

This is a fabulous hotel near Inya Lake, Hledan Center and several large shopping malls and markets. It's on a major bus route that has busses coming every minute or so. There are several BBQ Family Restaurants within walking distance from the hotel and a 15 minute ride to/from the airport. The hotel is undergoing renovations now so be sure to check. This hotel is a condo style with rooms on floors 3-10 (that may change) There is a restaurant and a 'light fare' eating restaurant on the 3rd floor that is open all day. Complimentary breakfast serves Asian style buffet with good choices but the cooks are so accommodating that you can request an omelette if you wish. Room service is also available. Some rooms have magnificent views of the lake and skyline. (I opted for a back room with balcony for quiet time to read, study and work....) It is next to a sprawling condominium that is finished but waiting for occupants. Very clean and staff so friendly and accommodating. They have a generator in case of power outages, free WIFI, aircon and hot modern shower) There is a spa as well. I highly recommend. Please note: This is not for people who wish to be downtown within walking distance to tourist areas. This is for those wishing a more upscale (but reasonable as the US Dollar is strong against the Kyat) hotel but away from the tourist hotels. Hoya International is close by the University, Embassies, Inya Lake and the Airport. Great shopping. I had a night stay here and the experience was impaccable.. i was abit reluctant to try this newly open hotel in the beginning.. but since check-in, I was enjoying the friendliness of the staffs and their service.. highly recommended and will come back to stay here...
