Matina Chen — Hotel in Bandipur

Basically, we walked through Every hotel with a good rating in the maps. We went to Depche, Mountain Resort , Gaun Ghar, Old inn and what not. Finally we came to Matina Chen. It was rated 4.4 . So we thought why not give it a try. Anil prajapati, the owner was really honest and friendly. Tbh, his smile made us stay there. We choose room on the 1st floor with 2 beds. Good springy beds with clean sheets and exceptional washroom. The food was great 5/5 no complains. The breakfast was okay good too with hashbrown potato,bread tea. Would recommend this place any time of the day. The attic's on the top floor was phenomenal. Would definitely suggest anyone to opt for it. Will try to stay in there...

An authentic hotel inside the Main Street of Bandipur. The rooms are good size. The three rooms on the top floors have a different structure as in the photo.

Washroom was very clean and well maintained. Hot water in the morning helped a lot.

I wish the hotel had a restaurant too, but it’s fine. There’s plenty nearby. In fact, the house adjacent to the hotel has a restaurant. One more block then you have the tea shops that open early in the morning for tea and India breakfast.

We stayed here for two nights. The room was very comfortable, clean and with an ensuite. We had great views of the main street and town from the room as well as views to the surrounding mountains. The hotel also has a lovely garden at the back where mountain views can be enjoyed. A great breakfast was also included. The staff were very helpful and friendly with suggestions of things to do around town. Would highly recommend...
