Absolutely loved my stay here a couple of weeks ago. Actually, it was my favourite place in Chitwan and comparing to the noisy Sauraha it felt like heaven. It's so easy to spot wildlife right from the terrace. Saw multiple rhinos, monkeys, deers, different species of birds. On the first night, i woke up at 4am from a strange loud noise. It turned out, a rhino was grazing just 2 meters from my window! It was clearly seen under the full moon. Unforgettable experience! You can go down to the river and there is a nice and safe spot to swim. The room is spacious, bed comfortable and shower is working fine. Strong wifi. Dal bhat that they cook was definitely the best i had in Nepal. It's a family owned hotel and all the members are super friendly and attentive. All my needs were satisfied with great respect and care. The combination of phenomenal natural surroundings of the place, fantastic attitude, great 24h-comfortable common area, nice rooms and all of that for a very decent price - just wow. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience the magical Chitwan...
Read moreWe had a lovely, relaxing four nights at Ghumtree Riviera. Suman was extremely helpful at organizing our transport from Kathmandu to his family's guesthouse, and also our onward journey to Pokhara. The rooms are simple but clean. The food was very good and the family and staff very friendly and welcoming. A highlight is the deck overlooking the river, where we could watch Rhino and jackals extremely close every evening or early morning. The guesthouse helped organise a jungle trek with a great English speaking guide to Chitwan National Park for us, which was easy to access on a small boat from the guesthouse. We saw rhino, slothbear and crocodiles. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful setting in an authentic Tharu village, far away from the tourist frenzy. It was fascinating to stroll around the local villages, eat at local food places and have friendly interactions with the local people. Highly recommended for those that like peace and tranquility and to be away from the...
Read moreWe found this place in Ghatgain Nepal through a 2 night tour through the jungle of Chitwan National Park. I wish we would have known about it before we arrived in Sauraha Nepal. It was better than all of the hotels we stayed at in Nepal and it’s right across the river from Chitwan National Park. Every night the rhinoceros would come across the river and graze right in front of the hotel balcony. The food and facilities were excellent and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Also they were very helpful and spoke great English. If you’re looking for a relaxing place to view lots of animals this is the best place we’ve found, even more so than the hotels in Sauraha. It’s a short bus ride from Sauraha Nepal but well worth the trip. You can still book any tour through the hotel and can find other more private, personalized tours than the packages that every hotel and agency in Sauraha...
