Review of Lemon Tree Premier, Kathmandu
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Lemon Tree Premier in Kathmandu, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Nestled in the heart of the city, this hotel offers a perfect blend of modern comfort and warm hospitality, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.
Location: The hotel’s location is one of its strongest assets. It’s conveniently situated close to major attractions, shopping areas, and dining options, yet it remains a peaceful retreat from the bustling city. Whether you're exploring the cultural heritage of Kathmandu or attending business meetings, the location is incredibly convenient.
Ambiance: From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted by a vibrant yet soothing ambiance. The decor is contemporary with subtle touches of local Nepali art, creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel exudes a fresh, citrusy vibe (true to its name), which is both refreshing and uplifting.
Rooms: The rooms at Lemon Tree Premier are spacious, well-appointed, and designed with comfort in mind. I stayed in a Premier Room, which was spotlessly clean and featured a plush bed, a modern bathroom with excellent amenities, and a work desk. The large windows offered stunning views of the city, and the room was equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a flat-screen TV, tea/coffee maker, and high-speed Wi-Fi.
Dining: The dining experience at the hotel was a highlight of my stay. The all-day dining restaurant, Citrus Café, serves a variety of cuisines, including local Nepali dishes and international favorites. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious, with a wide range of options to suit every palate. I also enjoyed the in-house bar, which offered a great selection of drinks and a cozy ambiance to unwind after a long day.
Service: The staff at Lemon Tree Premier truly went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service throughout my stay, every interaction was marked by professionalism and genuine care. Special mention to the concierge team, who provided excellent recommendations for local sightseeing and helped arrange transportation.
Facilities: The hotel boasts a well-equipped fitness center, which I used daily, and a serene spa offering a range of treatments. Although I didn’t get a chance to use the spa, I heard from other guests that it was a rejuvenating experience. The business center and meeting rooms are also well-maintained, catering to the needs of corporate travelers.
Value for Money: Considering the quality of the rooms, dining, and service, Lemon Tree Premier offers excellent value for money. The rates are competitive, and the overall experience justifies every penny spent.
Final Thoughts: Lemon Tree Premier, Kathmandu, is a gem in the city’s hospitality scene. It strikes the perfect balance between luxury and comfort, making it a top choice for travelers. Whether you're visiting Kathmandu for business or leisure, I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable and enjoyable stay. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Kathmandu!

The beautiful new gigantic building of Lemon Tree Premium, seen from our garden, tempted my wife and me to pay a visit. We arrived around 8 pm, doubting if it was still open. Entering through its majestically big gate, we experienced a warm welcome.
Walking through the lobby, greeted warmly by the staff, we headed to the rooftop bar. The night view of the entire city of Kathmandu was mesmerizing; the brightly lit residences looked like stars shining on the ground. Luckily, we went there after a day of rainfall that swept away the annoying pollution which would otherwise cover up that beautiful view.
I ordered a classic mojito, my favorite, while my wife opted for another mocktail. The aesthetics, ambiance, placement, design, and entire vibe were so beautiful and luxurious. Unfortunately, my order was delivered first, and the very first sip annoyed me. Some tiny sugar cubes dived into my tongue along with the drink, which was not pleasant at all. I complained to the waiter, but the manager showed up, claiming that it was a part of the drink and that it was refined sugar, about which my tongue disagreed.
Realizing that the manager wouldn't concede, and deciding not to make it a big scene, I waited for the sugar to dissolve. I guess it was a win-win, as everything else in the cocktail was just fine. We then discovered that the main course wasn't served on the rooftop, as it was a dedicated bar. Done with the view, we requested the remaining of our drinks to be brought down to the restaurant downstairs.
Citrus Cafe, the restaurant, was elegant and bright. The view from this place wasn't competitive, but the ambiance and environment were excellently luxurious. The menu offered diverse dishes: Nepali, Indian, and European cuisine, some of which I remember. We ordered a Biryani. I doubted if the Biryani would be worth the price tag of Rs 1350 per serving. I joked with the waiter, asking her to request the chef to make it in a larger quantity than usual. It was surprising how fast the food was served, considering we ordered it late in the evening.
Disappointingly, the Biryani wasn't as big in quantity as I had hoped for. But the aroma and flavor merging with the air we breathed were just perfect. We couldn't wait to take a bite. The server served it for the two of us, and the taste was more flavorful and delicious than the aroma. We enjoyed it till the last spoon. The authenticity and quality of the mains overshadowed the quantity, which wasn't that less, just not as much as I wished for.
However, the process of fetching the WiFi connection was very nasty. I hope there are other ways to make it more customer-centered.
After dinner, the staff helped us look around the swimming pools, gym, spa, as well as the hotel rooms, which were just as premium as one would expect and wish for. We would definitely...
