I stayed at the Tengboche guest house recently for one night, and I had a great stay. The guest house has a cafe with the heat on when you arrive so you can sit in the warmth and drink tea or ginger while indulging in a slice of one of their home made cakes! Phurba the owner has a close relationship with Everest, his family have multiple Guinness world records which are located on the wall of the cafe. The rooms are typical for a guest house this high up, but the great design of the building means that the heat from the dining room fireplace is piped to all the rooms on the upper floors, I was nice a warm for the entire night. Overall Tengboche Guesthouse is a great...

The owner was unfriendly and unhelpful, which added to the overall negative experience. I would not recommend staying here based on my experience, especially considering the well-being of trekkers is critical at...
