My stay at hotel Panauti was lifted by the energetic, friendly and helpful staff. However, even they could not raise my opinion of the hotel rooms which are tired and in need of repair (I looked at a few and chose the least worst).||||The beds had simple, thin foam pads, the bed linen, if a little fryed was at least clean. The bathroom was in a poor state: the toilet seat was broken and detached, there was no hot water (not uncommon in hotels in Nepal) and the water pressure was low. The restaurant was closed for refurbishment (I was not told this when booking in, the only criticism of the staff) and it was suggested to use a place close by *the food here was not so good and it was more of a bar with noisy, drunken locals than a place to eat). ||||It was over-priced for what it was and despite getting a clear statement that no tax was to be added to the bill, on check out it was. However, this was removed imediately when I reminded the guy...

Firstly the rooms are clean and the showers have HOT water, all fixtures are attached and working well. This hotel is a busy place and has a lovely vibe and mixed clientele. Privately Owned by Nepalese, this hotel is warm, inviting, great Buffett food and fantastic for large events.

The bedding was clean, pillows, clean and the mattress was clean, and supportive but not like hard.

For the price this modest hotel can easily give Boutique hotels a run for the money as long as you don’t expect all the Razzamataz of paying thousands of Rupees. We ended up asking to stay another day. The young man on reception was articulate and warm hearted. This is a place I will ensure I don’t forget for next time.

Lovely place, warm people, will support Westerners to get decent prices for...

First impression :||Nice to see the guy at the reception to bear an handicap, but still use his brain and works well as a good receptionist. ||||Food :||Only to share a last meal before we seperate with our backpacker friend, we ordered some Momos and a rice with curry. Taste was ok but quantity very smaal. Paid more than 300Rs for most of the dish : Rice !||||Wifi :||After 3days trekking, wifi could have justified the high prices for the momos, but it doesn't work when power cuts. They don't think to plug the router on the solar panels. ||||Restaurant Toilets :||Not very neat : someone forgot to flush after the big deal ! ||Table a little sticky. We had to ask to...

One of the few hotels in Panauti town. It is a walking distance from the Panauti Bus stop. The hotel staff is friendly and quite helpful. They have a wide range of rooms. Our room was spacious and had very comfortable beds. The bathroom was also large and clean. However, there was no warm water. Maybe they rely on solar panels to heat the water and we were there during the cold and clouds months. But because of all the other positives, we thought the lack of warm water was quite insignificant. All in all we had a great experience in this hotel.
