I had a very disappointing experience at Pumdi Ghar Retreat. Upon arrival, there was no proper check-in process. They didn’t verify our identity or confirm the agreed-upon price. The staff simply took our bags and led us to our room without any formalities. This lack of professionalism was surprising and frustrating. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was not working, and the room conditions were not up to standard. The food was minimal and the overall experience was far from what we expected from a retreat. The owner’s wife was also extremely rude and disrespectful when we tried to clarify the pricing issue, which made the experience even worse. I had a fantastic stay at Pumdi ghar.The location is absolutely perfect, offering breathtaking views of the mountains and Phewa Lake right from the room and garden. Waking up to the sight of the Himalayas and the peaceful lake was truly unforgettable.
The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. Their hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant served delicious food, with a variety of local and international options to choose from. Dining in the garden while enjoying the serene view was a highlight of my trip.

When I contacted them 24 hours earlier to cancel my booking and gave them reason for my cancellation(Reason was an emergency at home that caused us to cancel half of our vacation), they made excuse not to refund my advance. Well, I could have booked from booking apps which doesn’t come with any advance and free cancellation but I trusted the place and gave booking advance of 1000.
