Me and my mum spent 2 nights here in August. The place is an homestay but not only beacause it’s also a community of people. The homestay is well manteined there are shared places and rooms immersed in the green. The room was so nice, essential and clean. They arranged for us vegan meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and the food was delicious made with local vegetables and fruits. We also enjoyed the patio on the river where you can spent time reading a book or just listen to the nature’s sounds. The Tharu community provides plenty of experiences and we joined some of them. We did the canoa trip on the river and the jeep safari in the Chitwan National Park. We enjoyed them a lot. Then we joined a dance performed by people of the community in a sort of a little theater placed in the center of the village. The day after we had the opportunity to cook, to dress and dance as local people. We suggest to spend at least 3 days here beacause there are lot things to enjoy and to have the opportunity to stay with the local people and immerse in the nature. Plus, the owner of the homestay is supernice!

In terms of location, it was a little difficult to get there but overall we had a good one night stay. The rooms were clean and I liked how it had the tharu home vibe from the outside. There was also extended area where you could sit relax and enjoy sunset, sunrise. I feel like we definitely got ripped off a little for the food; we ordered our own local chicken but tbh I didn’t mind because the food they made was extremely good. The chicken made both ways was so so good, I still can remember how much we enjoyed it that night. I also liked different little amenities, pictures and art they had around their dining area that showed more abt the tharu culture.

Well I didn't stay in this place, but I only went on a group walking safari which is guided and organised by the owner, Mr. Somlal himself, where I spotted around 7-8 rhinos, a couple of spotted deer and a foot print of a tiger cub. Somlal dai was a very knowledgeable person who explained everything about Rhinos and other animals which we spotted on the trail. He was a very kind and humble person. I really enjoyed my safari with him. I would definitely like to visit again someday to spot many more animals with him. He also showed me the rooms in his home stay, each room has an attached toilet. My safari photos are attached below.

Looking for a more authentic place off the mass tourism, I spent 2 nights in Tharu Community Homestay and I would come back again.|However it's more of a simple but nicely constructed apartment complex in a beautiful river setting surrounded by local housing and rice fields than a 'true' community homestay. Food and service was good and the manager helps to organize and make the best of your stay and your discovery of Chitwan national park.|Also good to see that the place is fully knhand of locals and also Nepalese local tourists come visit. |Had some allergy problems during first night due to lots of dust in the rooms. Was swichted to other room the...
