This family-owned place is a perfect area to stay in Chitwan. They have the kindest people who care about you and they feed you the most delicious and healthy food. The morning view is great and it is nice to sit at the tables outside underneath the huts to enjoy tea or breakfast/lunch. The rooms are simple and clean and the service is even better. Dipesh and Arjun are the best hosts and their family and staff will always listen to you and cater to your needs. The customer is well taken care of and you just know that you are in good hands when you come to this place. It is located close to the national park and just 15-20 minutes away by foot/bike to the markets. Just across the street from the place is a field (some locals play soccer/futbol games) and you'll find that there are many animals (such as dogs, cows, chickens and goats) roaming freely in Nepal. Water buffalo are tied up near the river and it's nice on the eyes to watch them graze in the fields in the distance. Chitwan is one of the most beautiful places to visit if you enjoy animals, safari trekking in the jungle, and relaxing with the peaceful countryside as your backdrop. There is spotty WiFi, but you will find a better connections with the land and native people if you are friendly and open to the culture and customs. This is a small and wonderful community and there are some of the greatest people at this particular place, so I highly recommend staying here. I will be back again with family and friends! Thank you...
Read moreI travelled with my teenage daughter from Pokhara. I had booked two nights online and Dipesh's communication was excellent even though I changed dates and arrival times. He met us at the bus park and after a welcome drink we were shown to a very decent room. He discussed possible options for exploring the park and yet it was never a 'hard sell'; just a genuine hotelier wanting the best experience for his guests. We had a great time following his guidance and did things such as the local museum and the Tharu dance evening we wouldn't have bothered with otherwise. We did everything such as canoeing with crocodiles, seeing rhinos and bathing with elephants that we had wanted. When our bathing elephant was not in the mood for spraying us Dipesh intervened to get us another elephant! He was an excellent host. Due to an upset tummy from Pokhara I was not eating very much but what we did eat at the hotel was absolutely fine. There was also complimentary cold mineral water which at $10 a night is not always the case. At the end of our stay Dipesh arranged for our bus to Khatmandu to pick us up from the hotel rather than us having to go down to the bus park early. All in all a great time and we would definitely recommend Hotel Park Inn to anyone...
Read moreThe staff were so attentive. I had been in Nepal for three weeks and was a little worn out, I came in by tour bus tired and thirsty, without having to ask I was handed a cold orange beverage, just what I needed. The food is outstanding with all the spices and flavors that make me love food from the Asian Continent and well worth the wait. They prepared everything fresh when I ordered it, so delicious I occasionally overate and had to take a nap. Everyday they treated me like I was their most important guest, taking me to the cultural museum, a parade, a dance show, and for a walk through the jungle. The high light was the time they arranged for me to spend with the elephants. I was able to make the Elephant Mo Mo and feed her. I was taken to the breading center where I was given the afternoon to just watch these new babies and their families interact. And if that were not enough they arranged for me to go to the river and help wash one of the Momma elephants and was she ever a character. I think I was the one who got the bath. My only regret is that I didn't bring my entire family here with me. They would have had the best week of...
